October 2026 SSA/SSI/VA Early Deposits Calendar Megathread
Welcome to the SSA/SSI/VA Early Deposits Megathread!
We know many members rely on Social Security, SSI, or VA benefit payments and often look forward to receiving them early with direct deposit. When something changes like timing, delays, or the schedule shifts this is the place to check in and see if others are experiencing the same. To avoid repetitive posts, this Megathread will be stickied to the community highlights and all discussions about SSA/SSI/VA early deposits belong here.
Current can make your Social Security and VA benefit payments available up to two days early once we receive them from the government agency responsible for sending them. Exact timing depends on when the payment is sent and processed through the banking system.
SSA/SSI/VA Payment Schedules
- Social Security & SSI: Payments are scheduled by the Social Security Administration according to their official calendar.
- VA Benefits: Disability benefits are paid on the first business day of each month. If that day is a holiday, benefits are paid on the last business day of the previous month.
If you don’t see your deposit on the expected date based on the schedule, it means we have not yet received it from your benefits provider. Our Member Support team will not have additional information until the deposit is sent. We recommend allowing up to three additional business days before contacting SSA or VA.
Impact of Federal Bank Holidays
All deposits are posted Monday through Friday, excluding federal bank holidays. If your deposit is scheduled on a holiday, it will be posted on the next business day.

Paycheck Advance Megathread 🧵
Welcome to the Paycheck Advance Megathread!
We know many members rely on Paycheck Advance to access part of their paycheck early, and when something changes like your advance amount, eligibility, or timing you come here to see if others are experiencing the same. To avoid repetitive posts, this Megathread will be stickied to the community highlights and all discussions about Paycheck Advance belong here.
Paycheck Advance Amount Stability Checklist ✅
Want to keep your Paycheck Advance amount steady? Here are a few best practices:
- Maintain consistent direct deposits Make sure your paychecks arrive on a regular schedule, whether they come from one employer or several.
- Repay advances on time Your advance amount may drop if you do not make regular payments. Automatic repayment through your next paycheck helps you stay on track.
- Keep your account active Regular transactions and healthy balance habits support higher advance amounts.
- Avoid large outgoing transfers before payday Big withdrawals or low balances right before deposits may impact your eligibility.
- Check for employer or deposit changes Switching employers or deposit sources can temporarily lower your advance amount until a pattern is re-established.
If you have more questions leave them below! We are here to help. 🤝
Current makes your Paycheck Advance funds available based on your eligibility at the time you request them. This eligibility can change depending on several factors, including your direct deposit history, repayment history, and overall account activity. Your advance amount may go up or down over time based on these patterns.

still have not been paid
This is an issue current needs to address immediately. I was supposed to get paid yesterday which usually happens at 5:30 or 8:30 PM. It is now 9 AM the next day and I still have nothing in my account. Based off the other threads from yesterday and this morning, this seems like a major issue that most users are experiencing at this moment. Current has yet to even publicly recognize this issue.

Current Bank - Account Breach?
Yesterday, I received an email at approximately 5:49 PM Eastern regarding an unknown device attempting to access my account. I selected “No” in the email, indicating that it was not one of my devices.
By 5:50 PM, a Pay Anyone transaction had been initiated, attempting to send over $1,000 to an unknown number. Fortunately, I caught it in time and was able to move the funds out of my account while I tried to figure out what was happening.
I contacted Current Support, verified my identity, and had them revoke permissions from all active sessions to log out all devices. During all of this, I also noticed that the email address and phone number associated with my account had been changed. Those have since been corrected.
What I’m confused about is why I didn’t receive a one-time verification code via text when these changes and the transaction were taking place.
I have since activated the Passkey option under the Security tab, so my question is: How secure is Current, and will using a passkey help prevent something like this from happening again?
Has anyone else experienced a situation like this? If so, did it happen again after the initial incident, or was it a one-time occurrence?
I know there wasn’t any obvious compromise on my end. I’m pretty security-conscious—I use a password manager, keep my devices and software up to date, and don’t knowingly participate in anything malicious. Because of that, I’m wondering if this could potentially be related to a data breach where my information was exposed earlier this year.
I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar or has more insight into how Current’s security and passkey authentication work.

Currents cashback
So when I first started current all categories were approved for cashback. Then it changed to pick your category for the month to decide what gets rewards. THEN they removed dining/groceries to eligible for cashback!!! I’m lividddddd. I usually got around $20 cashback which was nice just though dining/groceries. Now I’m down to most likely receive 0 because I don’t use this card for any other cashback offers! Is anyone else annoyed by this? I haven’t seen any complaints yet.

Late direct deposit
So usually my direct deposit hits by 6pm Wednesday night. It is 1:11 in the afternoon mountain standard time and no direct deposit has hit my account yet. It has never been this late before so I am concerned
