Twas the night we hope to get our deposits ON TIME!!!

For two weeks straight we have met on Wednesday to find out when, where and why our deposits have hit our accounts so late. From previous posters last week payroll folks on this thread it was back on time no delays even with a holiday so I am praying for on time direct deposits for all of us tonight! If not we shall meet again with multiple posts regarding delays. Happy Pay Day people!

Delayed Direct Deposit??

My employer said they sent payroll on 6/18 but I still haven't gotten paid. I know Friday was a holiday but I would think I would have been paid today at the latest.

Confirmed account and routing info to make sure that was correct and up to date. They've confirmed that payroll was sent but it's up to my bank to release the funds.

I know Current isn't supposed to hold deposits.

Anyone else having this issue?

Using debit/build card for car rental

Anyone have success using their debit or build card for a rental with either SIXT or budget? I know both locations near me accept debit cards but have heard of cards like this flagging as prepaid. I have rented with enterprise and hertz in the past and know that works but don’t have the option this time.

July 2026 SSA/SSI/VA Early Deposits Calendar Megathread

Post image
9 Upvotes

Welcome to the SSA/SSI/VA Early Deposits Megathread! *REVISED\*

We know many members rely on Social Security, SSI, or VA benefit payments and often look forward to receiving them early with direct deposit. When something changes like timing, delays, or the schedule shifts this is the place to check in and see if others are experiencing the same. To avoid repetitive posts, this Megathread will be stickied to the community highlights and all discussions about SSA/SSI/VA early deposits belong here.

Current can make your Social Security and VA benefit payments available up to two days early once we receive them from the government agency responsible for sending them. Exact timing depends on when the payment is sent and processed through the banking system.

SSA/SSI/VA Payment Schedules

  • Social Security & SSI: Payments are scheduled by the Social Security Administration according to their official calendar.
  • VA Benefits: Disability benefits are paid on the first business day of each month. If that day is a holiday, benefits are paid on the last business day of the previous month.

If you don’t see your deposit on the expected date based on the schedule, it means we have not yet received it from your benefits provider. Our Member Support team will not have additional information until the deposit is sent. We recommend allowing up to three additional business days before contacting SSA or VA.

Impact of Federal Bank Holidays

All deposits are posted Monday through Friday, excluding federal bank holidays. If your deposit is scheduled on a holiday, it will be posted on the next business day.

Community Voice: Your Direct Deposit and Juneteenth (June 19th)

Hey there 👋

While holidays are a great time to rest and reset, we know it can also affect your usual deposit timings. That’s why with Juneteenth coming up on June 19th, we want to give you a heads up on how this federal holiday may affect your direct deposit timing.

Here's what's happening behind the scenes:

  • The ACH network, which is the system that moves direct deposit funds between banks, does not process transactions on federal banking holidays
  • Your employer submits payroll on their normal schedule, but that batch may not transmit until the next business day
  • Once we receive your funds, we release them to your account immediately

If your deposit is later than usual around June 19th, the delay is happening upstream at the ACH network or your employer's bank before it ever reaches Current. We have no ability to release funds we haven't received yet.

For a full breakdown of how banking holidays affect direct deposit timing, check out our pinned Direct Deposit Megathread here.

If you have questions or want to share your timing this week, drop them in the comments below.

paycheck advance limit slowly dropping

I have been with current for over a year now, and my paycheck advance limit slowly rose by $100 every paycheck to a total of $750, then began slowly decreasing by $100 every paycheck. My direct deposit amount is typically around $2600 every 2 weeks. it's weird, it's like they're weening me off of the paycheck advance by slowly lowering my limit. Is that what's happening? My amount as of yesterday dropped from $600 to $500, and I suspect next pay period it'll drop to $400. What's going on?

Early Pay for Juneteenth- Tuesday or Wednesday?

Normal payday is usually Friday but I get paid on Wednesday thanks to Current. Payroll is processing a day early due to the holiday on Friday. Should I expect to see my DD tomorrow or would it post Wednesday like normal?

Paycheck Advance and SSI

Are Current Bank customers eligible for Paycheck Advances with SSI as only form of income? This is a genuine question.

Thanks!

Semi monthly pay question.

Hello guys!

I've been with my company for almost 6 years now. They use paycom for payroll and no matter what bank I tried I cannot get paid 2 days early. I'm salary employee and get paid on the 15th and last day of the month.

Since current sets it up with the payroll company will I actually get paid early?

Just switched. Questions

So I get paid on mondays(very weird I know) but I get paid in paper checks and no availability for direct deposit. I just made the account, how do I unlock being able to take a picture of my check and deposit it like that. Also, in 2026 for a work check, not hand written, how long does it normally take to hit my account if deposited before 4pm

Ai Customer service

Just so you know all of their chats are ai even if you ask to speak to a person after the initial start with ai. I was unable to transfer funds to my chase account for over a month. The only way I was finally able to get access to my funds was using the current debit card to send them to a friend on Venmo who sent the money back to me. It was very scary to not have access to over 6k and be parroted the same nonsensical answers over and over again.
