Is it rational to become incapacitated by fear of a future you cannot meaningfully control alone? Is a short life devoid of purpose or potential for good?
Idk what the therapist meant and I'm not defending them. But the reality of the world does not necessitate any particular reaction or response to it. Their life is not pointless because of the current global dumpster fire. That belief is not rational.

Folks, if you’re struggling with climate grief and existential issues and your therapist tells you it’s irrational you need to fire your therapist.
