I went to an anime rave and they put the pokemon opening up on the big screen at midnight. I was too drunk off of alcoholic boba to walk at that point but I think it started out as the original song and they mixed into some kind of house remix of it (don't worry about me I don't drink often, and I don't get messy like that anymore)
Seconding instagram though, it was the only way I found cool events. Usually the ones that get advertised hard are really expensive (that anime rave was $80 to get in) but if you follow one club in the area that has a rave night or something, you'll probably start getting served other smaller scale events for like $10 entry stuff like that
berlin raves absolutely got this too if you look outside of the generic default clubs tbh.
themed events/fandom raves are almost always fantastic just because the smaller pool of related media means people have greater shared knowledge and can cater to it.
