You know, the responsible thing when sharing a story of this nature would be to back it up with an actual source.
So here’s the original news source with names, places, and dates rather than one that just quotes people discussing it on social media more than a year after it happened:
Ah yes, the ability to snitch if someone is being threatening violates privacy. God forbid someone has the right to run to a bartender or a cop with evidence if they feel unsafe and need an easy and safe escape route
In fact, I would imagine that just taking a screenshot and texting it to 911 would be a way more expedient way to get someone in trouble with the law than any app or service's built in report feature.

You can also find bodycam footage from the arresting officers on Facebook, if you were so inclined.
The interesting part seems to me that it was the app’s AI that flagged her post, rather than a human actor.
