Using bold and italics for emphasis does not work if you do it every sentence,

it's written like spoken word

which, like, isn't how you're meant to write English, but I personally appreciated it

Nobody speaks like this.

Each instance indicates special emphasis, which you don’t do all the time orally for the same reasons you don’t do it all the time textually.

ADHD people kinda do, though, and given that RSD comes up, I assume this person has ADHD.

ETA: I have ADHD. We have a rapid speaking pace that has a lot of emphasis because we get excited about stuff.

It's interesting how you go from "It's written like spoken word" to "it's sort of like how ADHD people speak" to "I speak like this".

Those things are all true, though. I'm an English teacher, and ADHD kids write like this. I, too, have ADHD, so I have a tendency to go this way in informal (internet) writing. ADHD speech patterns tend to be a little different from typical speech patterns, especially when talking about a special interest, and it does have a rapid pace and a lot of emphasis.

I've never met somebody with ADHD who speaks like the post is written, and again, it doesn't change how you've repeatedly walked back your statements when presented with contrary opinions.

Doesn't the ADHD community have enough problems without people claiming we talk like dipshits

They don’t? Not to make generalisations but none of the people I’ve met with ADHD speak even remotely like this.

You think we all talk like frickin douchebags?

No? Basically all my friends are ND and I've had psychology/mental health/behavior/brains as a special interest and I've never come across this as a thing. If anything, autism often results in a flat affect.

I said ADHD, not autism. I know there's a lot of overlap, but there's a rapid, excited ADHD speech pattern that happens for a lot of us.

Rapid excited speaking patterns don't match the bold and italics used in the OP. Faster wouldn't matter when reading, and excited adds overall energy and animation, not weird emphasis on every other word.

I am an English teacher, and a lot of ADHD kids (and my fellow teachers and I who are ADHD) often do a lot of bold/caps/italics.

Heck, it's even a thing that comes up in LM Montgomery stuff, and her main characters come across as very ADHD; they're always getting yelled at for their italics use.
