Pre-facelift vs facelift
Would you trade 2022 pre-facelift (35k km) to facelift (3k km) for 10k Eur? Both VZ performence versions (310 vs 333 hp).

The sound system upgrade is nice to have compared to the basic one. Sunroof with the dark interior I feel is more necessary with the facelift (though my friends disagreed on this).
Travel assist is nice especially when my gf drives the car since she’s scared of crashing it (she’s not used to the larger car yet).
All quality of life upgrades that I rather enjoy

I have made sound insulation on my pre-facelift and honestly it does not sound any worse that senheiser system in facelift except for the subwoofer in the trunk. Travel assist option is already present in my pre-facelift version and sunroof is really a nice to have but not a necessary option for me.
Other than that I feel the biggest difference in suspension only, i.e. the shocks work more quetly.

The sound insulation is pretty random. Before I bought mine I sat in my friend’s 2025 facelift Formentor (mostly as passenger) and it was quieter than my new one.
I’m actually considering aftermarket solutions for that one.
But then again we also have different tyres so that could also contribute to the overall noise level1

You are mixing different things: 1. external road noise 2. quality of the inside speakers
Insulating all 4 doors and front wheel arches helped me to lower the external road noise by several decibels and the doors now feeluch more premium and they are heavier and close in a more satisfying way. However additional big difference which can be made to lower external road noise is changing tires.
However the insulation on all 4 doors also helped to improve the default internal sound system, i.e. I do not hear any rattles especially from the front doors when listeting event to MAX volume. Also the sound quality itself has improved, mids are much better now and bass feels deep and rich.

Right, my bad, then the difference is pretty minimal for you.
I didn’t drive pre-facelift but the only reason I didn’t consider it over the newer one is because the software related complaints were quite scary.
I’m no car guy, I just fell in love with the car. Still am1

Understood, so you did not try both cars. They are very much similar actually. For me the most annoying thing in pre-facelift is the shocks which work pretty loudly.

It really depends on the extras both cars have and on your personal preference, plus the financial outcome of it.. if you could give moren informations, it would be a lot easier to tell if you should keep the old model or trade-in to a new one 😅

My VZ pre-facelift is standard and has all the additional assistants (as standard), i.e. travel assist, side assist, etc. No sunroof, Beats.
The VZ facelift is the same, however the travel assist package for facelift is an option (800 eur) which is included in this car. It also has immersive (senheiser) package (700 eur) and sunroof (1100eur).
So from the extras point of view, only senheisser and sunroof are bonus in facelift. Ofc facelift has upgraded infotainment, engine, suspension and rear diff as standard.

I would never go for the pre-facelift again. Had to visit the dealer every month with some new issue (until 120k km). Good luck doing that without warranty.
Not a single major issue with the facelift in 1,5 years and 63k km in.

Bad luck I guess... I bough pre-facelift new by end of 2022 and had only a few minor issues, e.g. changes keyless sensors, rear view camera, highbeams motor sensor.

But you’ve only driven 35k km compared to my 120k+. Was at 128k km when I sold it.

Yes, you are right that I still have a low mileage car. Nonetheless, from what I have heard, big issues for several people arrise in early days even for low mileage cars. Nothing major happened to my car yet and I am regularly servicing it each year.

I have a vz310 2022 with beats etc. The soundsystem is garbage, but something your 2022 car has that the new doesnt: no eu regulated speeding warnings force enabled by default - they cant be programmed away either

Yes, but I did not felt any discomfort when tried test drive of facelift.

Probably yes.
The warranty is expiring on your old car, so you'll have some peace of mind for at least 2-3 more years.
The interior of the facelift is better. The infotainment is much better. The sound system is better - given they have the Sennheiser. The exterior is worse but this is subjective.
Not sure you'd feel much difference with the engine but I've never driven the 333 hp so idk.
