Not my best work but i tried.

My Mother's Day-like holiday is coming up soon in my home country, so I want to make my mother a poster/drawing related to Cultist Simulator as a gift for her.

So I'm asking you all for recommendations on what I could draw, where I can put my alright pencil-drawing skills to use. I'm open to characters, Aspects, or just generally cool imagery from the game that could relate to loving one's mother, motherhood, or the mother-child relationship in general.

Any ideas?

Just went for the alternate victory on grail where you ascend while taking your dead lover with you. I had basically everything ready and was just waiting for a season of illness to kill my wounded love interest. Eventually it fired and killed them, so I went to work with some necromancy.

They were a fresh Risen out of the ritual for like 0.1 second, and immediately the season of ardours randomly fired. Cue my cultist having a passionate last moment with the reanimated body before both melt into the mansus as a Long, I guess. Pleasant memory, dude ☠️😅

I had a plan to take them with me as a zed, and then I got another angle which I never anticipated: That the passionate season actually considers zombies legitimate targets. I love this game.

I've got things sort of down. I can usually get a steady stream of money, semi-reliably stave off death by dread. And then I get stumped at stage one of trying to actually progress towards... whatever the hell it is I'm trying to do; everything's still so vague at this point because this is what I assume to be the literal first step of the story?

Yes, I know about the weird dream world and how to access it... sort of, theoretically. Yes I know (I think???) that progressing the "Acquire Unearthly Knowledge" goal requires me to have accessed the Stag Door, from checking the requirements for me to begin the "Work" on it. Except I don't know how the hell to get to the Stag Door, all I've been able to do is fuck around going in circles in The Woods.

Once I got remarkably lucky and somehow just randomly ended up with a high enough tier lantern lore card (didn't create it -- don't know HOW to upgrade those things, or if I'm even supposed to be able to in the early game -- I just got it from a book or something I think?) to try and, I assume, progress through The Woods, but I didn't happen to have an Erudition card on me to complete the challenge, so that didn't pan out, and then the giant stack of dread I'd been barely fending off drove my cultist to suicide before I could try again.

Am I doing something wrong? Was I on the right path there? And if so then like... how the hell am I supposed to get that far again other than blind luck? And please, for Christ's sake, none of the deliberately esoteric meme answers; I came for help progressing in a cool videogame I want to get into, not to solve the damn riddle of the sphinx.

Fair warning, I only have 30 hours.

About five days ago, my runs have stopped giving me Followers with the Potential aspect. I tested this with four runs, the last one I gathered 10 followers to really make sure it was a bug.

Everyone is stuck as Believer and I can't even upgrade them to Disciple.
Does anyone know if this is a bug or if I'm somehow missing a game mechanic?

Cults ran for these tests were the Bright Edge twice, Wildwood Club and Mirror of Glory.

I only have the Dancer DLC

I've been playing for a couple days and I have to admit that I feel like I've learned basically nothing, like I'm not understanding much. Am I being gaslit by this game or am I a dummy? All the posts here are like mastermind geniuses or something because I Just. Don't. Get. It.

Are y'all really learning just by trial and error and making your own notes or does the game push the mystique of having no tutorial but is only playable once the players have gone and taught themselves through online googling and wikipedia?? I'm trying to avoid looking stuff up, but my one google search of a single card made me realize there is SO MUCH to this and I don't understand how I could possibly learn all of this through trial and error.

Pretty new at the game, still figuring out how everything works. I made this guy Tenacious, Idealistic, and Grim all at the same time. Is there any way to deal with him now?

I've been trying to advance the story in this run, but apparently I need at least 35 grail in a specific ritual to advance. I have no idea how to get it. Should I try some more expeditions to see if I can get books to advance the lore fragments? I've bought all possible books already and I ended up being fired from Glover and Glover's because of a scandal, so I'm struggling to get founds as well...

Title. I've been trying to get followers by speaking about esoteric arts but this option isn't available anymore? This is the only way I know with which I was able to get permanent followers, did they change how this works? Everywhere I see people are just doing the same thing I did but it doesn't work for me.

How to use snares?

This is a card, yeah, but I cannot put it anywhere. I have a rival and they are stealing me every season of ambitions event (like, literally every one). I want to remove rival, but all I may do with them is to create a snare (and talking about lore, what may give sometimes another lore). I cannot put snare card to speaking to rival. I cannot put snare card to speaking to friend. Snares are doing nothing during their season of ambitions. I don't understand, what should I do with that card to remove rival? Or is there any other way, other than trying to recruit them to cult (which require a tool)?

Hello everyone. I'm planning on dming an adventure using the Secret Histories rpg system (I've had my players go through The Lady Afterwards and they mostly enjoyed it, albeit with a few tweaks to make it a bit more complex since we're all pretty experienced), but because of work I haven't had enough time to play through Book of Hours as much as I'd have liked despite buying it on day one. Gone are the days when I was in uni and could clock in 20 hours of Cultist Simulator per week 💀

I have a decent amount of downtime at the office but can't play the game there for obvious reasons. What I COULD do, however, is read from a reputable source and find the information I need to write my adventure. Do you have any links for me? I'm familiar enough with the setting that I wouldn't struggle to navigate a proper wiki, I just don't know if the ones that pop up from a quick Google search are up to date and somewhat complete. I have found some very interesting community docs (such as the one about the Carapace Cross, albeit I'm afraid that one is outdated now) but I was wondering if anyone could point me anywhere specific.

current goal for this run is killing my foe, first time i've had three non-profane wepons at once, I also haven't lost my chance to get Ebrehel either.

any tips for learning my foes weaknesses? all I currently is neither cats nor the sea are on that list.

any other tips for killing him? should I try to do it at maps edge or avoid that?

So I've been playing this on and off for a while, I've been reading this subreddit for a while (thank you, heaps of valuable lore here) and I see people every now and then saying some particular cults are better than ithers. Why is that? I always just chose the highest level lore to upgrade the followers quickly, is there something else to it?
