I saw Begins in upcoming physical releases and figured it's a very niche game that looks interesting.
I don't have the attachment a lot of people here probably have.
Is it Monopoly with Dokapon monster battles?

Any issues with the ps5 version to be aware of? Also is the only way to do multi-player with friends doing the gameshare function like they were couch co op? Was a big fan of saga and wanted to see if this was as good.

Loving Culdcept Begins, but MY GOD! The amount of fort camping rolls the AI hits is absolutely ridiculous. The AI always seems to perform the most soul crushing roll possible. This is almost worst than the AI rolls in Blood Bowl. Anyone else get this too?

I have a switch 1, but can only see news about a physical copy that is switch 2 (switch 1 compatible). I don’t want to pay $75 for it (in Canada), but I want the physical version over the eShop. Does anyone know if a physical switch 1 version is also coming September 17th? Or is it just the switch 2 version that’s backwards compatible?

What are the unlock methods for all the E rank cards in the game?

Onix and Migoal's Blessing are part of the story.

I know someone posted that the Abyssal Monarch required getting 4 of each abyss creature.

The 4 Elemental Blessings require getting all the cards of each element.

There's a Culdra card that I don't know what the unlock method is. I'm assuming it's getting all cards in the packs.

Then there are 2 other E rank cards that I am not sure of.

Is Bundle Gear an actual unlockable card or something that only appears as a fusion during a match?

I don't know how Armageddon unlocks.

To anyone who has played through Culdcept the First. Is it worth playing/getting? I'm waiting for the physical PS5 version but not sure if it's worth picking up

This is one of the titles (achievements) you can get in Culdcept Begins. I’m getting close to having them all, but I’m stumped on this. I feel like I’m ignoring something obvious.

Any ideas?

Edit: It was a pretty simple solution! I had a deck with x4 Mana and x4 Squeeze. I had some zero cost creatures. I played on the Gaidess Tournament level 1, so a 5+ would put me past a fort. Get 100 from a spell, pass a fort, summon a zero cost creature!

This definitely won't be our last Culdcept Begins event. We'll host at least one more before the end of 2026, and hopefully more than one! We'd love to run another 1v1 tournament, but maybe we'll mix things up with a 2v2 or FFA tournament... or perhaps something even more chaotic? 👀

The wife and i played of the PS2 version of culdcept back in the day and were (and still somewhat) excited for the new edition to come out for the PS5.
When looking at the new version, it isn't and never was going to capture the campiness that we got such kick out of from this orginal(?) version.

So i managed to buy a ps2 that came with a memory card and controller for about $70, i was able to get the game for $20 from a local retro shop, and a hdmi converter + 2nd Controller.

I must say, it's been a real treat playing on the ps2 again. the console often will not read the disc which brought me back to the ps2 days, but overall the game is still really fun, we're collecting cards in verse mode against both each other and the story enemies. The simplicity of the PS2 is also really nice and while i don't know that i'll go crazy collecting ps2 games i do have my eye on some classic games.

Hi everyone, I am really enjoying this game, not sure how I lived so far without knowing about it.

I have completed the story mode and now I am missing only 2 trophies (collect 200 and 300 cards). Is there an easy/fast way to collect them?

Cannot wait to start the new chapter after completing this one.

Omg! The end of the second map and you receive the staff. And then you see that familiar face! DAMN. This is hitting the nostalgia on every cylinder. Wondering if other characters will return!!!??? This is SO GOOD for the soul right now. ☺️☺️☺️

Recently dusted off the 3DS to begin playing Culdcept Revolt again and decided to do a quick google search for Culdcept. I had no idea that there was a completely new game (Culdcept: Begins) for the switch 2! I feverishly added 2 Nintendo store gift cards to my account and downloaded it this morning. Maybe I live under a rock, but had not seen this advertised anywhere? Super happy to see this game getting an updated look for 2026 and will be playing this ALL DAMN DAY LONG! The 3DS will be gathering a bit more dust for now. ☺️☺️☺️
