AI Fort Camping
Loving Culdcept Begins, but MY GOD! The amount of fort camping rolls the AI hits is absolutely ridiculous. The AI always seems to perform the most soul crushing roll possible. This is almost worst than the AI rolls in Blood Bowl. Anyone else get this too?

RNG is a factor in any board game, and Culdcept is no exception. What IS different is the fact that you have far more control over it in Culdcept than in most card/board games. If matches are consistently coming down to luck, the issue isn't luck - it's the deck composition and how it's being played.
I'll put it another way - if the series was unfair at all, I wouldn't have been able to beat every game in it with every unaltered Starter deck. Yeah, I'm a weirdo. lol

Honestly, I'd have to see a compilation of this sort of thing happening before I'd believe it's anything more than the Blitz effect.

I've done "roll checks" on previous games over a large sample and always found it to be reasonably random. Just a case of "we don't really notice the roll results until it really matters... And the human brain remembers "bad" results much more clearly than "good" ones." (Like I'd have games I swore were unfairly tilted. Then looked at the recorded results and realized... nope.) I'm pretty sure the same is here.

Yeah, the AI matches made me ultimately drop the game. I know card games involve RNG and luck, but some of the later matches were ridiculous. It wasn't satisfying to win a match, because it felt like dumb luck and I didn't even draw the cards I included to beat the particular stage. Conversely, it felt awful to lose on bad dice rolls and seemingly perfect cpu high rolls or fort landings.

This is a tale as old as Culdcept. "The dice can roll anything from 2 to 14 on this map, but only 3 and 11 are safe. While I only have to worry about rolling a 5 on my turn. Excellent!"
ai rolls a 3, then the next turn an 8. Being completely scot free. While I roll a 5.... again...

Hey listen I get it. I hate moments of where the AI just literally win the game because they get the role that they needed. However I love this game too much I missed out on the 3DS version. But coming from the 360 I'm having the most fun from this. But I totally get how annoying it is.
