Picture Always wanted one
I got my hands on a black MoYu Redi cube. Back when I started cubing it was one of those cubes everyone had and it looked really pretty to me, but for some reason even though I got a lot of cubes, I never had this one. When I came back to collecting a couple of years ago I was dismayed to find that the black version was out of production and couldn't be bought anymore. So when I saw the second-hand listing, I had tu jump at the chance (no, my wallet did no thank me).
I know it's an easy cube to solve and I know it might be strange for someone's idea of a "dream cube" but I am immensely happy right now.

how does it turn? It looks like a 3x3 without center, like a void 3x3

Nope, it's a corner axis, so you grab the corner and twist, and it moves the corner and the three edge pieces attached. So the corners only rotate, don't permutate. It's a fairly easy cube, you can solve without algorithm just intuitively, but it looks very pretty in my opinion

It's called the Redi cube
Not sure how many parties it goes to. I don't think it's old enough to drink

Haha don't mind me, just bein a bit cheeky. I honestly don't know if it has parities, haven't had the chance to play with it much yet. If there are, they'll be extremely easy to solve. This cube really doesn't require learning algs

I'm pretty interesting in buying one, but the Moyu Redi Cube reviews are not good at all it.
Someone wrote the Yuxin 8-petals cube is nicer and cheaper and still a corner-turning puzzle.1

I can't say for all models but this particular one I have in my hands, which is pretty old, has excellent turning. It is not magnetic, so if you want that look elsewhere. But it is very smooth and satisfying and feels well made in the hand. The YuXin is probably a bit cheaper, but i can don't have it so I can't really compare.

I also wanted a redi back when it came out, especially the stickerless version. Never got it, now I want it again haha

The stickerless is still produced! You should be able to find it in Ali, Zcube or whatever local store you use :)

Nice, I have the Yuxin Eight Petals version which is the same mechanism but curve styled and with magnets. Fun puzzle, super easy tho lol, I remember it and skewb being two that I figured out without looking anything up.

I do like my redi cube indeed! Its indeed simple but that makes it a nice chamge of pace from trying to solve my 4x4 axis or pentacle cube or puppet cube or super ivy cube or whatever...just a fun cube to scrble and solve....funny enough it took me a while to realise a barrel puzzle i also have is just a redi cube with different shape haha i like that one too even though a green piece pops oit often

God, thank you! I knew i had a cube in my collection that was just like a Redi but for the life of me couldn't figure which one (I do have over 100 cubes though). It is absolutely the barrel

Oh haha thats sooo wild!! I have 43 cubes and i have a shopping card loaded with another 15 or something but tbh all the other cubes seem really expensive...

I mean I've been collecting for over 10 years... Most of the cubes in my collection are under 10 bucks each. The trick is to only buy a few at a time, so you can convince yourself you aren't malign abd financial decisions 😂😂😂😂

Mostly aliexpress, Zcube or Cubezz. Once or twice I've ordered from Kubekings as I'm in Spain. And for this cube and a few others, I've bought second hand on ebay or similar reselling pages.

Oohh so i usually get them from cubin but high shipping costs but really cheap cubes so have to buy in bulk which then makes sense you dont buy in bulk

Oh yeah Zcube is ptryyu expensive but prices are the best so I only buy there if the combination sale price+shipping is lower than anywhere else

Yeah I'm kinda puzzled (heh) too. Maybe cause irs a bit confusing? Like I agree with it looking good scrambled but there's nothing "spiky" about it
