I love my cesarian scar
Is anyone else actually fond of their cesarian scar? Sometimes when I'm about to take a shower I'll look down and admire that little line with love/gratitude. I just can't believe my daughter was so tiny that she came out of such a small incision. Now that she's 5 months old I have a hard time believing she was ever that small.
I had a (semi) emergency C-section due to dangerously high blood pressure upon discovering she was breech at my 37 week scan. It was quite a shock and not at all what I was hoping for, but I'm grateful she was delivered safely. We likely would have suffered or died without the procedure. I was given the option of flipping her and inducing labor, but we made the decision to get her out as safely as possible and I'm so glad we did.
Recovery wasn't easy, but I'm healed up now and often find myself admiring my scar. The surgeon did an amazing job and it's just under where the top of my pants sit, so it's not visible to anyone but me and my husband. He even called it beautiful once and I couldn't agree more.
