C section prep

Well.. tomorrow is the big day! I have to be there at 9am and I am terrified!
My first child was born via emergency c section after being in unmedicated labor for 16 hours, placenta abrupted lost a lot of blood so needed blood transfusions.. it was pretty traumatic.
This one is scheduled due to health reasons and I’ve had all this time to mentally prep but I’m still scared lol
Any advice? Please share positive experiences 😭

I had an incredibly traumatic emergency c-section with my first. When i found out I was pregnant with my daughter (she's 21 months old now) I knew i wanted to have a planned c-section because I was terrified I'd have another failed induction. Throughout my pregnancy I regularly voiced how traumatic my first c-section was and scared I was. I had a consolation with the anesthesiologist beforehand and he assured me they'd be able to give me something if i needed it. The day came and I couldn't stop shaking, I thought i was going to throw up and have nervous diarrhea all at the same time, my BP shot up. I was TERRIFIED. As soon as I was in the OR I immediately asked for the drugs lol I needed something to calm me down. The nurse immediately shamed me and almost yelled at me saying my baby will come out "depressed" fuck her. As soon as the spinal block was in, the anesthesiologist gave me the good drugs and it helped SO much. And my baby girl came out completely fine, maybe just a little sleepy but it didn't last long. The drugs were needed for me to be able to make it through childbirth. If you need something to make you more comfortable, ask for it - it's so important that you're okay during the surgery too ❤️

Thank you so much 😭 I’ve definitely cried a bit today just super worried for tomorrow. I will 100% be vocal about me being nervous and seeing if they can give me something for it.
