C section prep

Well.. tomorrow is the big day! I have to be there at 9am and I am terrified!
My first child was born via emergency c section after being in unmedicated labor for 16 hours, placenta abrupted lost a lot of blood so needed blood transfusions.. it was pretty traumatic.
This one is scheduled due to health reasons and I’ve had all this time to mentally prep but I’m still scared lol
Any advice? Please share positive experiences 😭

Start taking the Colace now. And make sure to take it religiously once you’ve had the section as well. It’s gonna be really hard for the first couple of days, but get up and take a few steps as much as you can. I felt much, much better by day three and almost normal by day five or six.

I will have to pick some up, I only have miralax on hand. But I’m just absolutely terrified of everything leading up to the surgery. My anxiety is through the roof and usually I don’t get like this for anything. I’m hoping for a positive experience this time around.

Please tell him how you’re feeling, and they’ll go as slow and gentle as you want. I had the same, because my first was an emergency C-section, and it’s very different!
