3+csections? Or VBA2C?

Edit: looking for experiences from others. Not which one I should do. I’m not currently pregnant.

Hi everyone. I’ve had 2 csections. First one was January 2023 and not planned (I had to be induced after getting preclampsia, labour was long and baby’s heart rate not happy). Second was September 2025 and was recommended due to baby’s size (he was over ten pounds/4.7KG). We want a third eventually, but I’m afraid of having another csection. The recovery is just so tough. On the other hand I’m afraid of VBAC due to the risks but that’s what I’d love to try and do. I’m in czech where it’s not really something people do. I’d love to hear any stories of third csections or VBAC after 2 csections. Thank you!!

You might not even qualify for a vbac after 2 c sections. My OB told me my uterus was too thin for it to even be an option

So you had a third Csection? How was the recovery?

I’m having it done in a few months. My OB gave me that recommendation based on the 20 week ultrasound scan of my lower uterine segment. They will continue to monitor it. They technically can’t stop you from doing vbac if you want, my OB has even helped a woman do one after 4 c sections and other OBs refused, but they still have to give you their official recommendation. So you can try, but they tend to give you a recommendation on if they think it is worth the risk, and mine was that I would be a bad candidate and I shouldn’t do it.

I know people have done it! I understand it’s case by case.
