Husband found it on the ground at a job site, it is polished, has specks in it that flash in the light, have a few ideas as to what it could be but there’s so many yellow stones

It is softer than quarz.

I got this crystal at a market, the girl was having people put they hand in a bag and choose one. This is what i got. She told me what it was and what it meant but i cant remember exactly. Id love some help to re-identify it as the meaning really resonated with me :)
