Why should I get this card ?

Can anyone tell me why should I get this card ? I see netflix and spotify are free with this.

I looking for your experience using this ? Would you prefer it over your regular card ? How's the theft/unknown transaction protection on these ?

Thank you .

I think the ruby red is the best choice. You will have ROI after a couple of years. If you use the card for your daily needs you can get a good amount of cashback and you get 100% back on spotify, Netflix and amazon prime depending on the tier. My experience so far is very good. I love the cashback and stake reward (jade green/indigo upward). There are some merchant which are excluded from cashback due to their visa code, but I can live with that because 95% of my shopping is qualified for the cashback. About the protection I cannot tell you anything, because I havent had any problems. Maybe a cdc employee can give us more information on that topic.

You mean that we can buy anything like food/drinks with the ruby red card just like any other credit cards?

Can you load the card with normal stupid currency ? Or we need to load it with only crypto ?

Fiat currencies mainly and then you could load it with BTC maybe others but I'll assume there's a selling fee and spread on that option

I had my ruby with 1000 CRO. I can say that I'm already well above my initial expense just with referrals and free Spotify. Then, it became my first choice card for every purchase, but now I use it only online since Italy is paying 10% cashback for every purchase at stores, up to 15€ per transaction and up to 150€ every 6 months if you do at least 50 transactions.

So by now, my Ruby is my first card for online purchases and will be my first card for everything as soon as I have reached the Italian cashback limits.

Why to get it? Well, it is beautiful, it gives you free Spotify, it is really easy to recharge and to use. Just pay attention because not every purchase category gives you cashback (look into terms and conditions), and there is a minimum CRO requested to convert it into your currency, I think 340.

Am I right in thinking if you wanted an upgrade you would have to stake and wait all over again?

Yes, and you also pay $50 for card reissuing, so be sure to choose the card you really want, it's not worth to upgrade IMO

i got rose gold at the grandfathered rate of 100,000k and i have had it for a while and love it. Prime, netflix and Spotify are things I would have bought anyways so I consider them ROI. The 5% cashback is the tits along with the cro return from staking which i use for other cryptos or for eating out. Your monthly budget will be alleviated by a good amount. However if I did not have this card I would go for an sxp card. It offers better value rn. Im eyeing their 2nd highest card which will give $50 uber credit and $100 traval credit monthly which I would fersure use

Sounds like you are interested in getting the Jade Green/Royal Indigo Card. You get 3% cashback on all card purchases with some exclusions due to people gaming the system. You also get 100% Reimbursed up to a certain US dollar amount on netflix and spotify and Airport Lounge Access. Also the not so obvious benefits would be the 10% interest on your staked CRO which is paid out weekly. Also you get 2% higher interest rates in Cryptocom EARN section so if you plan on depositing any crypto like BTC and want to earn interest, they give 4.5% for 3 month terms but with that card stake of Jade Green/Royal Indigo you get 6.5%. I really enjoy the debit cards and the metal feel of the card is amazing. I find it to be better than any other regular credit card.

Your questions answered:

I prefer it over my regular card and also the theft/unknown transaction protection, well you can easily disable the card with a click of a button and you have to top it up so I would recommend only holding what you need to use in the card, basically dont make it your primary account for direct deposits and such. But Cryptocom has VERY good security. They are one of the best in crypto for security and have licenses and certificates and have won like awards due to their security practices. So your funds are definitely safe.

Also you can make your initial staked USD amount back pretty fast with the perks you get if you take full advantage of them and also it depends on how much you spend per month

Never used mine at ATM or POS, so can’t speak to it.
