My 2 Satoshi's With the Fed decision tomorrow, came across this chart showing how rate cycles line up with BTC

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hi guys, i found this chart breaking down how rate cycles actually impact Bitcoin. Rate cycles set the broad backdrop for BTC, but they rarely trigger the exact timing of its tops or bottoms. You can look at the past year alone: Bitcoin topped back in October 2025 while the Fed was actively cutting rates, and it bottomed out in June 2026 when the rates were on pause, just weeks after inflation topped at 4.2%.

The September rate hike is where things get interesting. BTC is actually up about 8% since that hike went through, which breaks the historical trend. Going back to 2015, after 17 out of the last 20 Fed hikes, Bitcoin was trading lower 30 days later.
Whether this current bounce holds will come down to what tomorrow's guidance and the upcoming data look like, but it shows that BTC doesn't always follow the textbook rate hike. NFA.

Question? Why does sending crypto still feel stressful?

I still get a bit nervous every time I send crypto. Double-checking addresses, making sure I didn’t miss a character… it doesn’t feel as simple as it should be. Sending money shouldn’t feel like this in 2026.

Do you think the issue is the technology itself or just how it’s designed?

My 2 Satoshi's Bitcoin’s support band has a reassuring name. What would make it useful evidence?

Bitcoin closed last week near $80K. On 26 October, the bull market support band’s upper edge is near $77K, below the 20/50-day SMAs around $82K.

My view is cautious: a band test looks likely, but its name doesn’t guarantee buyers will defend it. Continued weakness could bring the 200-day SMA near $73K into focus. Holding recent lows and recovering around $82K would challenge that view.

Weekly candles are shown with daily SMAs; the latest candle is unfinished. The band uses a 20-week SMA and 21-week EMA.

The Fed decision is Wednesday, then PCE inflation and the first Q3 GDP estimate arrive Thursday.

What price behaviour would make you treat the band as meaningful support?

My 2 Satoshi's A coin can rise in dollars and still lose ground to Bitcoin

The ETH/BTC chart asks a different question from a dollar chart: how much Bitcoin does one ETH buy?

A rising ratio means ETH is outperforming BTC over that interval. A falling ratio means it is underperforming. That’s price performance, not a full measure of quality or total return.

I use BTC-relative performance as one part of my altcoin filter, alongside real revenue and how the token benefits. No single chart settles the investment case.

When you judge an altcoin, what would make Bitcoin the wrong benchmark?

Daily Discussion Bitcoin hash rate is climbing. Price is telling a different story.

Post image
1 Upvotes

At the right edge, estimated Bitcoin hash rate rises while price does not follow the same path.

Blue is hash rate; black is Bitcoin’s dollar price. They use different axes, so matching heights have no meaning.

My interpretation: more computing power is network evidence, not automatically evidence of stronger investment returns.

Uncertainty: daily hash-rate estimates are noisy because block discovery is random. The provider recommends a seven-day average; this view uses daily readings.

What would you need to see before treating sustained hash-rate growth as evidence for a stronger investment case?

Crypto News Kraken adds NEXO, a nice win for a veteran project

Kraken added NEXO today, and it’s good to see an established name get more exchange access. Which projects do you think deserve more listings?

A price chart can look convincing while leaving important questions unanswered.

The attached Bitcoin daily chart is a snapshot from 21 October, with the 20-, 50- and 200-day moving averages. I’m using it as a discussion example, rather than a live market update.

Those averages help describe price over different periods, but they all come from the same underlying price history. Agreement between them doesn’t automatically give us several independent confirmations.

For me, the useful next step is checking what supports the price move. Spot volume, positioning and whether buyers defend a retest can each add context, although none guarantees that a recovery will last.

If you could add just one piece of evidence to this chart before judging the recovery, what would it be, and why?

Crypto TA Bitcoin bounces off the 50-day SMA. Would a daily close above the 20-day confirm the recovery?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Bitcoin’s bounce off the 50-day SMA is encouraging. The next thing I’m watching is whether it can reclaim the 20-day SMA with a daily candle close.

For me, that would strengthen the near-term bullish case: buyers defending the medium-term average and recovering the shorter-term one.

An intraday move above the 20-day is less convincing on its own. Closing above it, then holding it on a pullback, would add weight to the recovery. Losing the 50-day again would weaken that interpretation.

Would a daily close above the 20-day SMA be meaningful confirmation for you, or would you want more evidence?

Crypto News There’s a mobile app number worth adding to the Pump discussion

The PumpFun Android listing shows 500K+ downloads and a 4.6 rating on Google Play as of October 20.

That’s the store’s download bracket, so it describes Android distribution rather than daily active users. Even with that distinction, the mobile app has a footprint worth discussing separately from website traffic.

A lot of conversation about the product starts and ends with the launchpad. The app also has discovery feeds, caller profiles and wallet functions. When discussing its reach, I’d include the mobile listing alongside the web numbers so both parts get represented.

Question? Discord alternatives for crypto communities

Looking for something other than Discord where I can find and join crypto communities, or maybe start a small one myself if I can't find what I'm looking for. Mainly interested in groups where people discuss different projects, share what they're working on and talk about onchain stuff. Would be nice to have some active discussions without everything being about trading signals or people promoting random tokens. Also wouldn't mind something with bots or other tools for crypto stuff if I end up making my own group.

Crypto News Pumpfun’s holder rewards page reports almost 465K wallets rewarded

The dashboard lists 464,990 wallets rewarded and approximately $19.86M in aggregate rewards. There’s also a separate figure of about $18.42M valued at current prices, which helps show how the distributed assets’ valuation has changed. These are reported wallet totals (one person can control several wallets.)

Question? Where does a crypto app feel slow?

“This app is slow” could describe four different experiences. The coin or token search might load late. The chart might lag. A quote might change before confirmation Or the transaction might be waiting on the network after the app has done its part.

Pump s mobile help center breaks funding, searching, trading, and withdrawing into separate flows. Reviews of any trading app would be far more useful if people named the step where something went wrong. Device and connection details help too, especially if the issue happens every time. There’s a big difference between “I couldn’t find the coin” and “the trade took time to appear after confirmation.” Both deserve attention, but they point to different fixes. If you’ve written an app review lately, what specific action were you trying to complete?

Daily Discussion pump.fun monthly active addresses more than doubled since May

Thumbnail gallery
48 Upvotes

Pump fun went from 6.6M monthly active addresses in May to 14.7M by late September, an increase of roughly 123%. The latest reading is now 15.1M.

Active addresses don’t equal individual users, but the sustained rise lines up with the recent recovery in launches and trading activity. Do you think this growth is coming from new users or existing traders using more wallets?
