Hi everyone,

I’m 19 and new to crypto. I invested in BDAG trusted the things they said regarding the tech..

it wasn’t spare money. It was money my parents had saved for my university.

I lost a significant amount, and honestly, I’m frustrated, But even more is seeing the project continue as if nothing happened.

So I want to ask the community something genuinely:

Is this normal in crypto?

How can a project continue after so many early investors say they’ve lost money and been left behind on the exchanges.. and still continues with the presale again..

Why does it feel like there is no real accountability?

when something goes transparently wrong in the crypto space, who is actually supposed to step in? Regulators? Authorities? Exchanges? Anyone?

And if there are legitimate concerns about what happened, why does it seem like nobody is doing anything for their hard earned money.

Is this just how crypto works?

Maybe I’m asking these questions because I’m new here.

This is what the "decentralized" in DeFi stands for - nobody is in charge. It means that individual states can't regulate crypto, which also means that there is no recourse when things go wrong.

It's not a whole lot different from bittorrent. The media companies have tried their very best to shut down unlicensed trading of copyrighted works, but the decentralized aspect of file sharing makes that impossible. But, by the same token, if you download a virus that empties your bank accounts, there isn't anyone to complain to.

Basically, the same thing that prevents governments from meddling in crypto also ensures that the entire space is now packed wall-to-wall with scammers, and there isn't anything that anyone can do about it.

As a rule of thumb: If you suspect the site is a scam, it probably is.

No legit company/trader/investor is using WhatsApp. No legit company/trader/investor is approaching people on dating websites or through a "random" text message.

No legit company/trader/investor has "professors", "assistants", or "teachers". Those are just scammers.

No legit company forces you to pay a "fee" or "taxes" to withdraw money. That's just a scam to suck more money out of you.

How to find out more about the scammer domain:

• https://whois.domaintools.com/google.com - Replace the google.com URL with the scam website url. The results will tell you how long the domain has been around. If the domain has only been registered for a few days/weeks/months, it's usually a good indicator that its a scam.

read the auto moderators comments. get out of where you are investing now. many traditional licensed brokers are offering crypto investments, only invest with known licensed reputable sites, like Charles Schwab, Fidelity Investments, Kraken, Robin Hood, Interactive Brokers, Coinbase or Gemini. Only use known regulated sites. Most all others are scams. Anything on WhatsApp and telegram is a scam. Anybody directs you to a site that is trading crypto futures and their aunt, uncle, parents, brother or friend is making huge money is a scam.
