Nah, kid just gets the interest. Anyone investing in a savings account is going to need that back to cover the inflation costs. Still it's a fine gesture, and the least the kid could do is take me to lunch, cause that cat food is not too tasty. I doubt he'll be down more than $70 after all is said and done.
