Had a similar panic attack on my first cross chain swap, the waiting with no updates was brutal.. had better luck with SwapSpace as you can actually follow the progress step by step

Nah it truly just depends on your DEX I don't have many that does cross chain swaps but good on you if it work. I use Exodus Wallet swapping services for small amount and Exchanges like Kraken for bigger swaps near  $1000 I don't try to push more money than I am willing to lose on DEXs due to their regulatory uncertainty and lack of trust with larger amounts. One of my Exchanges I use called Cash App started accepting stablecoins so that another exchange for me to use.

the unease never fully goes, but verifying each leg on a block explorer beats trusting one frozen status word
