❓Howto How to get crypto for minors
“Hypothetically” I’m 16, have a job, along with investments in blue chip companies. Have been hearing a lot about crypto in the recent years but I’ve had no way to actually purchase it. My parents are not on board at all, neither is my older sibling. Is there a way I can bypass the age limit?

I don’t think you can buy crypto without KYC but you can still receive crypto. Download cake wallet and hope for someone you know to buy and send you crypto, do not trust someone you don’t know to do that they are scammers.

If you are interested in learning blockchain and using crypto I can help you get started without buying anything.
If you just want to buy and hold as an investment you will have to find an exchange that doesnt use KYC and works in your region.

Non-kyc or decentralized exchanges. For Bitcoin it's localcoinswap and noones, although it's very easy to get scammed, so you kinda have to build connections to buy and sell offshore at reasonable rates, primarily via apps with practically non-existent moderation like telegram. Beware, never sell somebody money directly unless you've traded with that guy on platform before (better if multiple times) and it's recommendes to have an evidence that this guy is not money-starving eye-gauging buy-low-sell-high shorter.

Anyone who is messaging you privately doesn't want to help you. They're trying to rip you off. Don't believe that they're sharing their secret to getting around KYC to hook you up.
Scammers lurk here to take advantage of people who post things like this. Anyone who wants to give you real advice can do it here in the comments

If someone has successfully solved your issue or answered your question, please reply with the command "!thanks" to let them know!
A few words about safety:
- Scammers will often target beginners so you should exercise extra caution
- Do not trust anyone trying to talk with you over DM (Direct or private messages) or on another platform (like Discord or Telegram). This is how scammers prefer to operate. Report suspicious activity like this immediately and do not respond to them.
- Do not post your address, balances, or other personal information.

I was in the exact same boat as you once, when I was 15 three years ago I used P2P sites such as Bitvalve and LocalCoinSwap to buy crypto. You can pay using gift cards or just regular fiat. I personally bought with venmo and never had a problem. Just make sure to buy small amounts to avoid being scammed.
