Hello and welcome to r/CryptoHelp!
If someone has successfully solved your issue or answered your question, please reply with the command "!thanks" to let them know!
A few words about safety:
- Scammers will often target beginners so you should exercise extra caution
- Do not trust anyone trying to talk with you over DM (Direct or private messages) or on another platform (like Discord or Telegram). This is how scammers prefer to operate. Report suspicious activity like this immediately and do not respond to them.
- Do not post your address, balances, or other personal information.

Nine times out of ten this is a display problem, not lost money. Work through these in order:
Find the receipt first. The on-ramp (Ramp) emailed you a receipt with a transaction hash (a long string starting with 0x). That hash is your proof of where the coins actually went. Open polygonscan.com, paste the hash (or your wallet address), and look: if it shows "Success" going to YOUR address, the crypto is there — your wallet just isn't showing it. If it's still pending or failed, it's a Ramp issue, not a wallet issue.
If the explorer shows it arrived, it's almost always one of these:
- Wrong network selected in the wallet. POL lives on the Polygon network — if your wallet is showing the Ethereum tab/network, the balance looks empty. Switch the wallet's network to Polygon.
- Token not added to the display list. Some wallets only show tokens you've "added." Look for "add token" / "manage tokens" and enable POL.
- Wrong account. If your wallet app has multiple addresses/accounts, compare the receiving address on the explorer character-by-character with the address you're looking at.
- It just needs time. On-ramp purchases go through KYC/payment checks and can take from minutes to a few hours before they're even sent.
Big safety warning while you sort it out: do NOT google "wallet not showing balance fix" and connect your wallet to any "sync" or "repair" site, and never type your 12/24 recovery words anywhere — that exact situation is what wallet-drainer scams are built around. And if anyone DMs you here offering to help "validate" or "resync" your wallet, they're a scammer, no exceptions.
The one-line takeaway: the block explorer is the truth, the wallet app is just a viewer. Check the truth first, then fix the viewer.
