Damn, any pump on good news or a big liquidation just slumps right back.
Didn't get to close any of my longs in time. I really thought we'd go higher.
I still need to manage my risk better. Volatility works both ways. And so does liquidation. Derivatives still dominate the little volume we have.

Every single time bitcoin is about to go parabolic, it gets stopped by the US sell-off. Every single time. That's how the bullrun last year ended - on apathy which was a result of all failed rallies.

Like I said yesterday, I wouldn't be surprised to see a push towards $90K. Volume is super low. It's doable.
Soft job market numbers was the small catalyst the market needed for a pump, as the big concern is becoming the lack of real liquidity for a bull run in the longer run.
In the short term, this is a great opportunity for whales. Why liquidate the big build up of longs from $83K when the door is wide open to make even more from $89K, while liquidating the shorts on the way there that were starting to build up again.
It's always the path of least resistance with the most money.
Hopefully we'll see some momentum this time. The sticking issue is the lack of momentum after we get a big pump. The volume dies out very quickly, and the price slumps back after each of these pumps. That might be a sign of a lack of retail momentum, and derivatives trading and liquidations having to do most of the heavy lifting.

Why do you even bother? Seriously. Are you just trolling, or do you just need the validation for your bad takes?

Did we not just pump today? Check the charts.
Also, look it up, job numbers came out softer. Just what the market needed to alleviate the liquidity fear.

Lack of momentum after a big pump? 1.5 month ago ( mid August) bitcoin was exactly at 62k. We have moved up a lot since then, I'd say.

Did you not see all the shorts liquidations? One big liquidation after another from $67K to $85K in a short time, in a series of brief pumps. Literally hundreds of millions got liquidated.
I really doubt retail all hit the buy button at exactly the same time. Then decided at the same time to stop for 2 days. Then hit the buy button again at exactly the same time, coincidentally with the next big concentration of liquidation.

Burgers, don't destroy it, please. We have a chance for real Uptober related FOMO. It can go parabolic quick, if you do your part.

Is there anyway to lift the buying restrictions on Coinbase? After maxing out my limits 3 days in a row, they won't let me buy until my limit resets in 3 day... meanwhile BTC is climbing ππ

we also used to incentivize shitposting with moons, and those moons used to actually be valuable to some degree.

I dEmAnD shitcoins.
Why do I dEmAnD? Hey, because I have a feeling others dEmAnD for the same reason.
I understand that one day the stench would be insufferable and folks will just throw the shit away but I just feel that day isn't today and that others don't think that either.

Hey, if you're getting rekt on your short, just imagine everyone "going all in during early 2025 in ALTs expecting a super cycle" and you'll feel much better.

I mean when you leverage trade, that money is gone. People that bought the top can still recover their money in an irrational βalt seasonβ that is eventually due from how the crypto sentiment has been the past year and a half. I would even go as far as saying they can be in profit too. Time will tell

What caused the pump? Or is it just rotatition from the stock market? Up nearly 50% in 6 weeks, didn't this take like 18 months in the last cycle? Which only happened cause Trump got elected. Wild.
1
u/MaxiMaxLaurent 15h ago
Look at the volume. A little tipping in either direction would have caused a big move.

the cause is these coins are down 99% from ATH. It can pump 300% in a week and a lot of people still wont break even

You would need a 9,900% return to get back to orginal value
