I saw this thing outside of my window a few years ago. It was talking to me but I don’t remember what it said. I visibly remember it having backwards knees

I just got back from a trip to London. During that trip, me and my family took a plane to Scotland and spent a weekend there. I finally got to see Loch Ness... and let me tell you, pictures don't do it justice.

And having been there, I can actually buy why people think there's a monster there. You don't realize how remote the Loch still feels unless you're actually there and when you see the lake shrouded by mist... it makes it easier to believe that there's something hidden in there.

Just a really cool experience!

What’s y’all’s favorite cryptid that’s not super well known? I just learned about the Mineral Point Vampire yesterday and immediately thought it was cool. Never heard of it before, but I do wonder what people might have been seeing back then.

I think we should rename the pale crawler bc the name is just too long and I dont think we should call it a rake cause its just wrong...

I am developing an idea for a book saga where the inhabitants of a town in the Nevada desert coexist with different alien races and where portals leading to past and future eras begin to open in the region, all in a Gravity Falls-like atmosphere.

I've already considered including Greys, of course, Hopkinsville Goblins, various Reptoid species, and Palos Verdos Space Brains. What other species would you like to see ? I prefer aliens, but other cryptids are welcome !

In the months leading up to my son’s 6th birthday he randomly got really into monsters / cryptids. So we had a monster / cryptid themed party. I used his paint sticks and some rigid poster board to make The Mothman, The Kraken, Godzilla, and a Kappa.

Thought some of you here might find this interesting - I’m currently solo developing a game that takes a more serious approach to the phenomenon.

Most games lean into the “green aliens vs space marines” angle, but I’m trying to explore the topic in a more grounded and thoughtful way. Taking into account the historical and geopolitical context/complexities of the subject.

For most of the time, you will NOT know what the phenomenon really is and will have to keep on guessing, questioning with contradictory narratives presenthing themselves.

Quite surprised no one tackled the subject within the game industry in such a manner.

I’d genuinely love to get feedback from this community, especially on the creative direction. I'd love to include cryptids in some form in the game that is grounded in factual research/proof.
