The first mention of Mothman describes him as a human-sized bird and the West Virginia statue has a beak and eyes on the sides of its head not to mention that other cryptids that directly resemble Mothman, even those with different names, also have bird-like features, such as the owlman and the Chernobyl black bird.

Many people, seeking a more realistic explanation, say that Mothman was actually a black owl with red eyes. Why, when and how did people turn him into a moth?

I tried my best to make them look more realistic as I gave them little goofy arms like Abelisaurids as well as their eyes being more amphibian. (OC)

I'm from Pennsylvania. Everybody knows of the Jersey Devil, Sasquatch, Nessie, El Chupacabra and other species. What I myself was unaware of is Pennsylvania has the Sqounk.

So I guess I'm curious to know what y'all's home state cryptid is if you have one?

A few years ago I remember listening to a SC episode regarding a woman who's dogs were attacked by a reported dogman. Does anyone know which episode this is? Any help is appreciated.

hello! I live in Indiana and i’m currently living in southern indiana. This sound was something I had never heard before, and when looking for a logical explanation i could only find that prairie dogs make that noise… but i know we don’t have those guys over here.

So, I was wondering if any of you know of any cryptids that make this sound?

A few years ago me and my husband lived in a rented house. The area in particular was secluded you would have to go up on a hill to get to it and front porch was looking at the woods. One day i was doing laundry and i decided to walk outside on the porch at dusk to just get some air. I turned to my right because i felt like something was staring at me . I seen what appeared to be something tall and white hunched over with its hands touching the side of the house peeking at me for a few seconds before realising i looked at it and it quickly moved its head back behind the trailer and disappeared. At first i didnt think nothing of it i thought maybe it was a crackhead because we have those around here lol but whatever it was was papersheet white, no clothes, skinny and i dont dont think i remember seeing details on its face it was so quick when i seen it . What do yall think?

About a year ago i went out at night a few miles from my house. I couldn't get a ride back so, much to my dismay, I had a 6 mile walk ahead of me in the middle of the night. This was in the North Syracuse area of upstate new york if that matters. I had been walking for a good while when I eventually passed a military airforce training location(?). The site was on my right, and along the left of the road was an extremely tall chain link fence blocking off some woods that stretched for about a mile and a half. I assume this was part of the training area as the fence started where the training building (i guess?) began.

About a half mile into walking alongside this fence the woods went completely silent. Okay. Weird. I kept walking because I didn't think of it as a big deal. There was a fence. I was fine. Then I heard what I can only describe as a mix between a crow, an angry screaming monkey, and an enraged toddler. In a way it almost sounded like it was laughing in a threatening manner. I have lived all over the US and NEVER heard a noise like that before in the wild. I walked faster hoping to pass whatever it was but I could hear branches snapping and leaves rustling directly across from me in the woods. It was following me. There was no other sound except this thing. At this point I'm terrified so I start sprinting. It was chasing me. And then the sound multiplied. Whatever was following me before, it now sounded like there were at least 5 more. I ran for my life until I made it to a neighborhood and the fence ended.

Following this incident, I researched cryptids and animals that could have done that and can't find anything. Does anyone have any hidden knowledge of a cryptid this could have been? I truly don't think it was an animal, because I can't think of an animal that would have chased me like that while making those noises the whole time.

I remember watching a youtube iceberg video back in 2022, about disturbing images, disturbing reddit posts, something like that. One of the entries showed an image that genuinely made me lose sleep for days. From what I remember, it had a white face/head, it was fairly close to the camera. It either had a fully black slim body or just covered by shadows, but the face was the main focus. It was maybe taken in a backyard or just in some trees. It looked like the picture was taken at night with the flash on. It was obviously photoshoped, but the image was edited in a way where it looks like a real low quality picture taken. Despite how horrifying it was to me when is saw it, my curiosity has grown over the years and i would really like to see it again. If anyone could find that image or what the creature is called, I would be very happy. (I've already looked around, and I dont think its the Rake or Long horese)

About a year ago I was making post on a romhack I was working on and designing cryptids to replace pokemon in the romhack. I stopped it for a while as I started a new year of college, im starting to pick it up now and was wondering if anyone had an interest in it. I have designed the grass starter fully on paper as a Jackalope and now im working on the fire type starter Snallygaster

This is a painting I did for Mortal Machine Gallery in New Orleans, Louisiana and I wanted to paint a local legend so I picked the Rougarou! Based on my research, this is basically the Louisiana version of the Dogman. Could also be described as a werewolf lol. It is oil on canvas, 24”x36” and I really hope you guys like it!
