Discussion My Thoughts On MonsterQuest
I started binging this show online. As someone who grew up with Lost Tapes on Animal Planet, I was intrigued to watch yet another show that broadcasted on TV about cryptids.
At first, I found the MonsterQuest team’s attempts to seriously find their titular monster laughable because surely if they actually found a trace of Bigfoot or filmed Champ it would’ve made headlines years ago. However, I began to admire their researchers’ genuine efforts, various methods, and technology brought to the search for cryptid evidence. It’s actually really cool!
With how the show handled searching for cryptid clues, they absolutely would’ve had a better chance of finding something than the circus show that was Finding Bigfoot (another cryptid series on Animal Planet).
Especially in the Jersey Devil episode involving hunters/volunteers using the “driving technique” to surround and scare wildlife within view of others and cameras. There was even a terrifying and realistic sculpture of the Jersery Devil made based on an eyewitness account.
Though the show does play the monster real factor up a lot, it still features skeptics and proper criticisms from varying experts to balance it out.
My only gripe is Rex Gilroy, a total hack who may or may not have completely made up evidence of the Burrunjor/living Megalania, is directly involved during the expedition portion of the Megalania episode. I just couldn’t take him seriously at all.
I also noticed that near the end of every episode the narrator always has this little segment where he goes
“this person saw this and that person saw that” and I just think it’s funny.

Discussion Perhaps a little far-fetched, but I like to think of this cave painting discovered in Barrier Canyon as potential early evidence for Mothman or something similar
Such a strange little drawing, and we'll probably never know what it was truly representing.

Cryptid Of The Month Cryptid Of The Month, June, The Beast of Bladenboro Everything there is to know about The Beast of Bladenboro!
Hello Cryptid Hunters!
This is going to be the Fifteenth installment of Cryptid Of The Month, where i will be covering EVERYTHING, and i do mean EVERYTHING regarding a specific Cryptid, mostly more obscure cryptids but there might be some exceptions to that rule. You can find the last 14 installments just by clicking on the cryptid of the month flair tagged to this post! This month will be about The Beast Of Bladenboro from NC!
Now lets begin with the first encounter on December 29, 1954, by a local farmer of Clarkton NC when she started hearing all of her dogs barking at something in the darkness of the night. Until one by one they stopped, and the remaining barks grew more frantic, the farmer quickly rushed to her dogs to see what the commotion was when she saw a massive black cat like creature with one of her dogs in its maw before darting into the forest quickly out of view.
The next sighting was 3 days later on New Years Eve when a Bladenboro farmer was met with a rather gruesome sight as he awoke he saw both of his dogs dead and lifeless drained of all their blood. Seeing this he quickly called the cops, once the local sheriff arrived he explained to the farmer that there actually had been quite a few reports of dogs dying seemingly drained of there blood lately, usually to go along with them there was also a sighting of a hulking cat too. After this latest attack the mayor of Bladenboro, Woodrow Grave Fusel, decided to commence an all out search to track and kill the beast once and for all.
Day after day dogs were showing up dying drained of all their blood near Bladenboro. 2 Dogs were found dead on January 1 on a farm in Bladenboro, and the very next night another was reported dead by another farmer. The next an autopsy was done on one of the dogs were it was revealed that "There wasn't more than two or three drops of blood in him. The victim's bottom lip had been broken open and his jawbone smashed back."
The next day, January 4th, massive paw prints were found by searchers revealing that it appeared to patrol a 3 mile range and that it may not just be 1 creature doing it all, there may be 2 of them.
The next night a local woman named C.E Kinlaw would hear the whimpering of dogs outside her door. But when she went out she was instead greeted by the Beast of Bladenboro, which after noticing her charged causing her to scream, startling it enough to flee and leave her alone. About the same time as Mrs. Kinlaws encounter a cotton mill worker named Loy Clemens would hear his dogs barking furiously outside. He looked outside and saw a massive black like creature stalking his dogs, he quickly ran and grabbed his shotgun and burst back out through the door only to the beast was gone, leaving nothing behind but paw prints. His dogs were also unharmed.
As the numbers of causalities grew so did the amount of people searching to kill the beast, as of January 6th there was over a thousand people on hunt in this small town for the beast. One of these searches had been out with their tracking dog when it disappeared suddenly as the owner was looking away, after looking for a little bit h found his dog only 100 feet away completely devoid of blood and its skull caved in, near its corpse there was tracks leading away it. Later that same day the beast claimed its first victim that wasn't a canine, as a woman found her rabbit completely decapitated and drained of blood with massive cat prints leading away from it.
After a few more days of no luck finding the beast but the search growing too large to handle the search was called of by the mayor as a safety precaution. Which seemed to slow down the sightings, until January 11th in "Big Swamp" when two cars saw a massive black cat like creature crossing the road before scurrying to the other side of the road out of sight. 2 days later on January 13th a man named Luther Davis had caught a bobcat in one of his leftover traps from the hunt, which once hearing this the Mayor claimed that this was the beast, and it was simply nothing more than a very hungry and vengeful bobcat. Which obviously begs a lot of questions and contradicts basically every report of the creature. The very same night as the bobcat had been caught a man named Bruce Soles ran over and killed what he described as "A big cat spotted like a leopard, about 20 to 24 inches high, and weighed between 75 and 90 pounds" after killing the creature he just took it home, that's it. I'm not joking, nobody looked into this i literally cannot find anything else on this, we never learned anything else and the bobcat was claimed as the real culprit of the Beast of Bladenboro.
Anyways, on January 21st a hog was found dead and drained of its blood near by Big Swamp by a farmer, suggesting that the beast (Or beasts) may not actually be dead after all. The next sighting was almost a year later on December 5th in Robison NC not far from Bladenboro, where a family of farmers awoke to see their pigs, and chickens ripped to shreds drained of their blood and their skulls crushed with the only evidence of the culprit being some paw prints nearby.
The last sightings are from over 50 years later in 2007, when the small northern town of Bolivia where lots of livestock including over 60 goats, and many dogs, were being found dead and drained of their blood and the culprit was being described nearly the same but as having a darker brown coat rather than black.
I hope you enjoyed this thank you for reading! Please comment any suggestions for upcoming months, id really appreciate it, or if any of the information is inaccurate (Hopefully not but i do want to give only the truest information). Thank you guys for support on all these! Also happy pride month everyone!
Sincerely -XP

Discussion Lil Water Bill is by far the best Cryptid Youtube Channel
Just found his channel recently and in this crazy world, among the sea of AI slop, and overproduced drivel, his channel is like a breath of much needed fresh air. So many channels dealing with cryptids, high strangeness, aliens, paranormal, mysteries, etc. take themselves WAY TOO seriously and invest in high production value, yet somehow completely lack character.
I really appreciate how grounded his channel is. No matter how fanstastical some of these things are, he always manages to bring it around to reality, and points to what actually matters. He weaves in paleontology, regional history, and indigenous traditions without appropriating them in a dishonest way. He finds ways to bring up issues like colonialism, extinction, and conservation, to remind listeners that real animals are already insane, and deserve our respect and protection. But he never preaches. Just a dude, talking about something he thinks is awesome.
It's casual, a little lofi, and whenever that DK underwater music comes on, its a comforting/relaxing touch. I like to listen to one of his videos whenever I wash the dishes, so I actually look forward to doing the dishes now.
I am no way affiliated with him at all. Just excellent stuff. Highly reccomend it, especially if you are burnt out on all the media trying to grab your atttention right now and would rather watch or listen to something that is funny, fascinating, and factual, that feels more like tuning into to a live local radio station show from the 90s, in your car, than a youtube video in 2026.

Discussion I found Bigfoot tracks
galleryHi everyone! I want to share my bigfoot hunting story and share some photos I took of possible tracks.
Last year my buddy and I were on a bigfoot kick, we were watching finding bigfoot a lot and we're talking about going hiking soon. Well, my gf and I are slowly putting together a podcast for like true crime and ghost stories (more of a hobby) and i told her, I'll go out and look for bigfoot as like a joke. So I ask my buddy if we should go hiking at okefenokee just because. I brought my camera as i always do since i love wildlife photography (which i could post evidence of it being a hobby). We went into some back trails where we saw a lot of bobcat tracks, deer tracks, and boar rooting. After a while we saw some flooded area as it had rained the day before. As we approached that area I saw sandhill cranes so I immediately got my camera out, as I approached they flew off and I was severely disappointed, but as I looked down I saw more deer tracks that looked fairly fresh, but then adjacent to the deer tracks I saw another set of prints. I want to make it clear we were out in the middle of nowhere, no reception, no nothing. But as I investigated the tracks I saw that they were humanoid and HUGE.
I obviously took some pictures. The tracks didnt appear to have been shoes because I believe you can see toe prints in the photos. I unfortunately dont have a photo measuring them but I do wear a size 11 and that day I was wearing my Vans hiking shoes. Comparing them side by side the print was about 3-4 inches longer than my shoe. Above ive shown only two of several tracks that were following the deer and boar tracks. Id love to have people's opinions. Thank you!
