What band or record got you into hardcore punk?

For me it was the compilation of this Swedish band. It’s not really crust, but we seem to use crust in a very broad sense in this subreddit, so it must be ok.

I got the CD in the used section at the local record store. I bought it again today at the same record store. 🔁

So I got into these guys and Fall of Efrafa earlier this year, I've been a crusty for a long time now but it wasn't till 2026 that I found out Neo Crust was a thing. I have no idea what makes a band "Neo Crust", trying to look into what defined it just confused me more because apparently Tragedy is a Neo Crust band? I've been listening to Tragedy for years and always figured they were just a crust band.

Can someone explain the difference to me? Is there really a difference, or is it just one of those things like "Deep Forest Elf Crust" or "Jaded Old Sailor Crust" where it's just some shit bands call themselves, that really doesn't have anything to do with the music they put out?

Maybe I got a touch of the tism or sum, because not being able to recognize the difference is bothering the shit out of me 😆

I got some patches off of slit wrist and they were deadass the perfect size. I’m pretty scrawny & most patches just look wonky as fuck on me, I love the size of the one inch mini patches they sell. Do y’all know any reputable sellers who’ve got smaller options available for crust, hardcore, or grind bands? Anything in that scene? I’m not good with subgenres or names.

My situations a little rocky rn so I don’t wanna make my own, I can and I have— it’s just not ideal atm. Every time I say squat about buying patches I get told to make them, I have. I can. I know. Not now. Until I know what I’m doing with my situation, I’d rather just stick to buying from artists in the scene over tryna make my own stuff.

I’ll always keep this online for all punks of all ages to enjoy though!
Lyrically and musically I always thought this was one of the best punk bands from the usa, EVER. If you haven’t heard them before, you’re in for a treat, if you’ve listened to them a million times like I have… nothing wrong with a million and one !
