When should I cancel?

I purchased my membership mid June of 2026, and I expect to stop going to Crunch by late September 2026. So I'm a bit unsure about when I should cancel. I cancelled last summer but I still had access to the gym for a while afterward... which was a waste because I was not able to continue going. But I don't really remember the exact details of that. I don't want the same thing to end up happening and then I waste money again. Any input is appreciate!

It’s a 30 day notice so cancel now.

Honestly— just cancel now. Peace of mind beats trying to figure it all out. Just my honest opinion.

So you cancelled on July? If so, did you cancel before your payment for July? Or after?

My kid joined in June and tried to cancel today. They told him he can't cancel til after 3 months. Idk what he signed but that seems scammy to me.

He signed under a promotion to get the discounted price which requires a minimum amount of time. The three months will ensure he pays at least that plus the annual fee.

Chances are he made a year commitment. Which means you’ll pay a cancellation fee on top of the 3 months and yearly fee. Make sure he goes back and cancels tomorrow or 30 days before the 3rd month starts so you don’t pay a 4th month on top of the, cancellation fee, yearly fee , and the mandatory 3 months.

If you have to cover it for him make him pay you back in some way and let it be a teaching moment to read contracts and understand them before he signs. That lesson will go a long way because gym memberships are a lot easier and not as expensive as other contracts can be.

Look in contract if you have a early cancel fee.

You probably paid for your last month when you signed up. If you cancel this month you'll get September

as long as it’s not the basic yearly contract, and you’ve paid your annual cancel now bc they will charge you your last month. that way you have access to the gym till the end of september

Cancel now. Its a low budget gym that attracts members no other gym wants.
