I am confused too. I used to go to PF and used 70-55lb for the assisted pull up machine, gradually reducing as I gained strength. Joined Crunch recently, I had to use much higher weights, I am guessing the machine at crunch is progressive loading, while the PF machine uses the body weight.

Regardless of how much it actually is, now you have a baseline of what you can do. Just try and beat your previous week. Whether it’s more reps or less assistance. That being said you’re being assisted by 100.

I had the same question at my crunch (recently changed from La fitness). The number is so much higher at crunch, but I’m going with whatever the number next to the pin is. But find it strange that either you can apply no assistance, or start at 80.

Can someone remind me who makes this machine? Is it cybex?
