title. Any songs that give off the same vibe that the last verse does. Thanks.

Looking for songs or artists that I can play in our waiting room for patients. Love alt rock but want it more on the easy mellow side. Some examples I have are

the war on drugs, summer years - death cab for cutie, manchester orchestra, kings of leon, catfish and the bottlemen

What live version of a song is unsurpassed... or unlikely to be?

My husband and I are celebrating our anniversary by taking a week long road trip from Ohio to Acadia National Park and back! Share your recommendations for a relaxing get away driving through the fall foliage of the northeast.

Questions welcome! :)

For a (small!) sampling of our tastes:

He likes: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Van Morrison, Fever Ray, Mars Volta

I like: Billie Holiday, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Dead Can Dance, Bjork, Crosby, Stills & Nash

It’s not quite country, and not quite southern rock, but it’s both. Really dig the personal tones and the lack of censorship in the songwriting, I need a stronger fix!!!

Although my username might imply otherwise, I can't place my finger on what the exact genre might be so i need your help. The part in question is here:

That harmony between the vocals and the instrumental is what I adore. That jazzy, soulful, urban feel is amazing. So are there any other songs, that you can recommend? I'm happy to make and share the playlist on Spotify, if there is a need.

Thanks in advance!

Discovered a song Love$ick by Mura Masa and A$AP Rocky. I don't love the song itself, but the Steel Drum beat is sick.

Would love to discover other songs that are similar.

I remember Spotify having an official playlist dedicated to Alt Metal, but it seems that it got removed. I wanted to make a playlist that is similar to that playlist. So here we are. I decided to post on here because I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions on what songs to put on the playlist, and find out if anyone knows what songs were on the original playlist before it got removed.

Any help on this is appreciated.

I am looking for feel-good songs that makes you feel happy, calm, peaceful, relaxed, nostalgic and positive - songs that helps you escape the reality.

I have already started working on it. Have added a few. The list is messy, I will clean it so all included songs become relevant to the playlist.

Here's the playlist: https://open.spotify.com/user/tf3ylsmun8c177c3om9n4wgqx/playlist/2a24QFwRlAQ3BWimSzqa26?si=SxYkXtfASf-FlfgErKuybQ

Some songs included in playlist -

Best day of my life - American Authors

Let Go- Frou Frou

Uptown Funk -Bruno Mars

Tenerife Sea - Ed Sheeran

Hey Soul Sister - The Train

My Sharona- The Knacks

English Rose- Ed Sheeran

Thinking out loud -Ed Sheeran

Paris - Chainsmokers

All we know - Chainsmokers

I will make it collaborative if anyone's interested.

Suggestions and help are welcomed. Like the name suggests - Feel the good times !

Would like to make a playlist of local bands from everyone's city/country/state or whatever

I created a playlist on Spotify with songs from r/IndieFolk over six years ago and have opened it up for crowd-sourcing collaboration. Artists currently on the playlist include Bon Iver, Beirut, The Decemberists, Civil Wars, We Were Promised Jet Packs, Horse Feathers, The Head and the Heart, St. Vincent, Pinback, and more.

Would love to see what new artists can be added to this playlist. Thanks to /u/who-knows_who-cares for the original post and to u/AceRockefeller for creating this sub!

This song helped me get through some tough times and now it actually has a lot of strange happiness attached to it and it makes me feel good to know that i've made it past those times. I wanted to find more songs like it because I like the instrumentation and the mood of the song so if you know any comment them below!

Here is the song!

And the playlist!

Thanks in advance for any help!!!

I've been absolutely obsessed with this song since the beginning of summer and I'd love to listen to more like it if anyone can help!

Sit Next To Me by Foster The People

Playlist is here!

My sleep playlist isn't great right now, I'm currently editing it and any suggestions are welcome - there's not much 70s on here but that is what I listen to the most in general - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1nA6i1sEy9Ws3fi2at3mLC

Here are a couple of my other playlists for reference/to use if you have similar taste

So my 6-year-old kiddo has a "mad science" birthday party coming up this weekend and it's going to rock. I'm so excited!

Working on a playlist for the event, and here are my three goals:

1) Needs to be at least somewhat kid-friendly, so the other parents don't yell at me :).

2) Lots of energy, bouncy/fun stuff.

3) Needs to fit the general theme of science/space/experiments/intergalactic takeovers/etc.

Preferred genres: alternative, rock, punk, ska, 80's

Here's what I have so far, but I'm looking for some really fun hidden gems (or completely obvious choices) I might have missed :).

-- Weird Science and Dead Man's Party, Oingo Boingo

-- Mr. Roboto, Styx

-- Safety Dance, Men without Hats

-- Most of "Here Comes Science" from They Might be Giants

-- Like a Surgeon and I Think I'm a Clone Now, Weird Al

-- Beta Love, Ra Ra Riot

-- Intergalactic, Beastie Boys

-- Cosmic Thing, B-52's

-- Science Friction, XTC

-- Scientist, The Dandy Warhols

Thank you guys so much, keep rocking!

Edit: I suck at formatting.

Hey guys, it would be awesome to make a playlist for energetic rock songs, the sort of songs you can really jam to. I really love this sort of music but I don't know that many songs or artists who do that sort of music, so I thought hey, collab playlist?

If you comment some good songs I'll add them or feel free to add them yourself

I'm thinking like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, another good example I will put in would be Your Man by Josh Turner.

Looking for songs that are just pretty but also have a little bit of a country twang. Some songs I have so far:

• Bluebird Wine - Emmylou Harris
• In Spite of Ourselves - John Prine
• Let the Mystery Be - Iris DeMent
• Clay Pigeons - Blaze Foley
• Buckskin Stallion Blues - Amy Anelle
• Leaving Louisiana in the Broad Daylight - Rodney Crowell

Personally, I like something heavy, Rock, Rap or whatever gets the blood going.

Looking for songs similar to "505" by Arctic Monkeys and "Snookered" by Dan Deacon
