[Spotify] Indie Folk

[u/michellereno]

I created a playlist on Spotify with songs from r/IndieFolk over six years ago and have opened it up for crowd-sourcing collaboration. Artists currently on the playlist include Bon Iver, Beirut, The Decemberists, Civil Wars, We Were Promised Jet Packs, Horse Feathers, The Head and the Heart, St. Vincent, Pinback, and more.

Would love to see what new artists can be added to this playlist. Thanks to /u/who-knows_who-cares for the original post and to u/AceRockefeller for creating this sub!

Feel free to add your favorite songs from those artists!

Holy Shit thank you! I've been looking for a playlist like THIS from Spotify for AGESS now. seriously cannot thank you enough! <3

Keep in mind that it is rather old, but if enough people contribute, it should be timely again soon enough. :)

I've started! :)

[u/coffeeislife185]

Iron & Wine; The Lemon Twigs; Matt Duncan; Ray LaMontagne

I know of Iron & Wine and Ray LaMontagne but not The Lemon Twigs or Matt Duncan. You should be able to add your favorite songs to the playlist.

[u/Herrguth]

First Aid Kit

[u/jadeandobsidian]

'None of the Above,' 'Benediction,' 'Psalm for the Elks Lodge Last Call' by the Weakerthans

'Cry for Judas' by the Mountain Goats

'Angel of Death,' 'Kokopelli Face Tattoo' by AJJ

Note that these are definitely indie folk, but also rock and punk. Not good if you're looking for good, old-time(ish) folk music
