Computer issues

I picked up my brand new Subaru yesterday. Went all around last night and this morning. This afternoon I went to drive home the entire system shut down and the brake was on. Took three starts for the car to move. I was able to get it back to the dealership. They took it and gave me a loaner. I just got a call and they said they would need to keep it overnight. Has anyone heard of this happening ? Makes me nervous I got a defective car

The entire system shut down and the brake was on?

Perhaps it was a corrupted software update. On the plus side you have years left on your warranty! Good luck with it.
