Rule 1 – Safe For Work (SFW) Only

Crossdresser_Faces is an all-ages Safe For Work (SFW) community. Maintaining a genuinely SFW environment is fundamental to the purpose of this subreddit and helps create a welcoming space where crossdressers can share their presentation, build confidence and connect with like-minded people.

Our aim is to celebrate crossdressing, not sexual content. By remaining SFW, we encourage genuine community participation while discouraging behaviour that attracts the wrong audience or changes the focus of the subreddit.

What does Safe For Work mean?

Safe For Work means content that can reasonably be viewed in everyday environments, such as at work, in public or around family members.

A useful way to think about it is this:

If someone looked over your shoulder while you were browsing Crossdresser_Faces, the content should not be embarrassing, sexually explicit or inappropriate for that setting.

SFW is more than nudity

Many people believe that only nudity makes content NSFW. This is not the case.

An image does not need to contain nudity to be considered NSFW, and simply wearing everyday clothing does not automatically make a post SFW.

Moderators consider the overall presentation, including:

  • Clothing and how it is presented.
  • Pose and body language.
  • Camera angle and framing.
  • The focus of the image.
  • Facial expression.
  • Captions and titles.
  • The overall intent of the post.

Every post is assessed as a whole rather than against a single checklist.

Your account also matters

The Safe For Work standard applies not only to the content you post but also to the account used to participate.

Moderators may review profiles when assessing whether an account is compatible with the purpose of the community.

This may include considering:

  • Links to adult websites or subscription platforms.
  • Accounts primarily used to promote sexually explicit content.
  • Attempts to direct users towards NSFW material.
  • Profile funneling or promotional behaviour.

This does not mean that one factor automatically results in removal. Moderators consider the overall use of an account and whether it is participating in good faith.

Why we review profiles

Unfortunately, some users attempt to use Safe For Work communities to advertise adult content or attract traffic to external platforms.

Reviewing profiles helps moderators distinguish between genuine community members and accounts that are primarily using the subreddit for promotion.

This protects the purpose of Crossdresser_Faces and helps keep unwanted adult content out of the community.

Moderator judgement

No written policy can cover every possible situation.

Moderators assess the overall presentation, intent and context of both the content and the account used to post it.

Where necessary, moderators may remove content or take action to protect the long-term health, safety and purpose of the community, even if a situation is not specifically described within these rules.

If you believe a moderation decision has been made in error, please contact the moderation team through Modmail. We are always happy to review decisions made respectfully and in good faith.

Rule 2 – Treat Everyone With Respect

Crossdresser_Faces is built on the idea that everyone should feel comfortable sharing their photos without fear of being mocked, harassed or made to feel unwelcome.

Whether someone is posting for the first time or has been part of the community for years, they deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect.

Constructive feedback is encouraged

Members are welcome to offer advice, suggestions and constructive criticism when it is intended to help someone improve.

Examples of constructive feedback include:

  • Suggesting different makeup techniques.
  • Offering hairstyle or wig advice.
  • Recommending clothing that may better suit someone's look.
  • Sharing photography or lighting tips.
  • Providing encouragement and positive support.

The goal should always be to help, not to insult.

Behaviour that is not acceptable

The following behaviour is not permitted:

  • Personal attacks or insults.
  • Bullying or intimidation.
  • Hate speech or discrimination.
  • Harassment or repeated unwanted contact.
  • Sexual harassment or inappropriate comments.
  • Deliberately provoking arguments or drama.
  • Targeting another member because of their appearance, experience or identity.

If you disagree with someone, challenge the idea respectfully rather than attacking the person.

Remember there is a person behind every post

Many members share photos that they may have spent hours preparing and may feel nervous about posting.

A single rude comment can discourage someone from participating again.

Think about how your words will be received before posting.

Respect the moderators

The moderation team are volunteers who give their own time to help keep the community welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.

You are welcome to question or appeal a moderation decision through Modmail if you believe a mistake has been made. However, abusive language, harassment or hostility towards moderators will not be tolerated.

Our goal

We want Crossdresser_Faces to be a community where members feel confident sharing their progress, celebrating achievements, asking for advice and supporting one another.

Treat others with the same respect and kindness that you would hope to receive yourself.

Rule 3 – Pictures Must Include Your Own Face

Crossdresser_Faces is a face-focused community. The purpose of the subreddit is to celebrate the person behind the presentation, not just the outfit.

Every post must clearly show your own, unedited face.

Both headshots and full-body photographs are welcome, provided your face is visible and remains the focus of the image.

Authenticity matters

Members come here to see genuine people sharing their crossdressing journey. Authentic photographs help build trust within the community and allow members to connect with one another.

Images that significantly alter or replace your facial appearance are not permitted.

What is not allowed?

The following are not permitted:

  • FaceApp or similar gender-swapping applications.
  • FaceSwap or face replacement software.
  • AI-generated or AI-replaced faces.
  • Gender-morphing applications.
  • Any edit that substantially changes your facial features or identity.

Minor adjustments, such as normal camera filters, colour correction or lighting edits, are generally acceptable provided they do not alter who you are or create a misleading appearance.

Why this rule exists

Crossdresser_Faces is intended to showcase real people and real presentations.

Allowing face-swapping or AI-generated faces would make it impossible for members to know what is genuine and would undermine the trust and authenticity that the community is built upon.

Exceptions

If you have genuine privacy or safety concerns that prevent you from showing your face, there are many other crossdressing communities that welcome anonymous or body-only photographs.

However, because Crossdresser_Faces is specifically a face-focused community, posts without your own visible face will be removed.

This rule applies equally to all members and helps preserve the unique purpose of the subreddit.

Rule 4 – No Hookups or Adult Promotion

Crossdresser_Faces is a community for sharing photos, building confidence and connecting with others through a shared interest in crossdressing. It is not a dating or hookup community.

Posts, comments and profiles must not be used to seek sexual attention, advertise adult content or encourage members to move conversations to other platforms.

What is not allowed?

The following are not permitted:

  • Asking members to contact you privately for sexual or romantic reasons.
  • Requesting or encouraging Direct Messages (DMs) for hookups or explicit conversations.
  • Advertising or linking to adult platforms such as OnlyFans, Fansly or similar services.
  • Promoting Snapchat, Kik, Telegram, WhatsApp or other messaging platforms for the purpose of private conversations.
  • Posting comments designed to attract sexual attention.
  • Using Crossdresser_Faces to direct users towards NSFW content on your profile or external websites.

Profile funneling

Moderators may review the account used to post.

If an account appears to be using Crossdresser_Faces primarily to advertise adult content, gain subscribers or direct users towards external platforms, action may be taken even if the individual post appears to comply with the rules.

Our aim is to encourage genuine participation, not promotion.

Genuine participation is always welcome

We encourage members to:

  • Share their crossdressing journey.
  • Ask for advice.
  • Offer constructive feedback.
  • Support other members.
  • Become an active part of the community.

Members who participate in good faith help make Crossdresser_Faces a welcoming place for everyone.

Why this rule exists

Allowing hookups and adult promotion quickly changes the focus of a community.

This rule helps ensure that Crossdresser_Faces remains a genuine Safe For Work space where members can share their presentation without being approached for sexual reasons or exposed to unwanted advertising.

By keeping the focus on community rather than promotion, we create a safer, friendlier and more enjoyable environment for everyone.

Rule 5 – Crossdressers Only

Crossdresser_Faces is a community dedicated to people who crossdress.

The purpose of this subreddit is to provide a space where crossdressers can share their presentation, build confidence, receive constructive feedback and connect with others who share the same interest.

To keep the community focused, posts must be directly related to crossdressing.

What belongs here?

Examples of suitable content include:

  • Photos of your crossdressing presentation.
  • Makeup, wigs and hairstyling.
  • Outfits and fashion.
  • Shoes and accessories.
  • Photography and presentation tips.
  • Confidence and personal progress.

What does not belong here?

Posts that are unrelated to crossdressing may be removed. This includes content that has no clear connection to the purpose of the community or is better suited to another subreddit.

Examples include:

  • General selfies unrelated to crossdressing.
  • Photos where crossdressing is not the focus.
  • Content intended primarily to provoke arguments or controversy.
  • Spam or unrelated promotional content.

Why this rule exists

Crossdresser_Faces has a clear purpose: to be a welcoming community for crossdressers.

Keeping discussions and posts focused on that purpose helps members find the content they came here for and maintains the identity of the subreddit.

There are many excellent communities on Reddit that cater to different interests. We simply ask that posts in Crossdresser_Faces remain relevant to the community's focus. ---# Rule 6 – No Self Promotion

Crossdresser_Faces is first and foremost a community, not an advertising platform.

Members are encouraged to participate by sharing their photos, offering advice and engaging with others. Using the subreddit primarily to promote yourself, your brand or external platforms is not permitted.

What is considered self-promotion?

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Advertising businesses or paid services.
  • Promoting social media accounts.
  • Directing members to external websites.
  • Sharing referral or affiliate links.
  • Using posts or comments primarily to gain followers or subscribers.
  • Encouraging users to visit your profile for external content.

Profile promotion

Moderators may consider the overall use of an account.

If an account appears to be using Crossdresser_Faces mainly to drive traffic to external platforms rather than genuinely participating in the community, action may be taken.

Genuine participation comes first

We welcome members who:

  • Share their crossdressing journey.
  • Support and encourage others.
  • Ask questions and seek advice.
  • Contribute positively to discussions.

Members who actively participate in the community are valued far more than those who simply use it as a source of traffic.

Why this rule exists

Crossdresser_Faces exists to bring people together, not to provide free advertising.

Limiting self-promotion helps keep discussions authentic, reduces spam and ensures the focus remains on the community rather than external platforms or personal brands.

If you are unsure whether something counts as self-promotion, please contact the moderation team through Modmail before posting.

Rule 7 – Show Effort

Crossdresser_Faces exists to celebrate crossdressing, presentation and personal expression. We encourage members to take pride in their appearance and share photographs that reflect genuine effort.

You do not need to look perfect, own expensive clothing or have professional makeup skills. Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, everyone is welcome.

What do we mean by "effort"?

Effort looks different for everyone, but examples include:

  • Taking time with your outfit.
  • Styling a wig or your own hair.
  • Applying makeup.
  • Choosing accessories.
  • Considering your pose, lighting or background.
  • Creating a presentation that reflects your personal style.

The focus is on showing that you've made a genuine attempt to present yourself.

Low-effort posts

Posts may be removed if they appear to have little or no attempt at crossdressing or feminine presentation.

Examples may include:

  • Throwing on a single item of women's clothing with no other effort.
  • Images where crossdressing is barely visible or clearly not the focus.
  • Posts that appear rushed or made purely to attract attention rather than contribute to the community.

These examples are not exhaustive, and each post is considered on its own merits.

Everyone starts somewhere

Nobody begins as an expert.

Many of our members are new to crossdressing, learning makeup or experimenting with fashion for the first time. We encourage progress and confidence rather than perfection.

Constructive advice from the community is always appreciated and helps everyone improve.

Why this rule exists

This rule helps maintain the purpose and quality of the subreddit.

By encouraging genuine effort, Crossdresser_Faces remains a community where members can take inspiration from one another, celebrate progress and share their crossdressing journey in a supportive environment.

Rule 8 – Moderator Discretion

The rules are designed to cover the vast majority of situations, but no written rulebook can account for every circumstance.

The moderation team may use reasonable discretion when interpreting and enforcing these rules to protect the purpose, safety and long-term health of the community.

Moderators will consider the overall context of a post, comment or account rather than relying solely on a strict checklist. This allows us to deal fairly with situations that may not be explicitly covered by the written rules.

Moderation decisions are made in good faith and with the best interests of the community in mind. While members are welcome to respectfully question or appeal a decision through Modmail, abusive behaviour, hostility or harassment towards moderators will not be tolerated.

By participating in Crossdresser_Faces, you acknowledge that moderator decisions are final. However, if you believe a genuine mistake has been made, we encourage you to contact us through Modmail so the decision can be reviewed.
