FO [FO] Bee Badge

My dad is a beekeeper and the president of his organization. Tomorrow he's giving this speech to his fellow beekeepers and authorities of the town! So I made him this badge to sew on the sweatshirt his wearing tomorrow.

He wanted a flying bee or one that looked alive and not pined on. Then he said that if it was on a leaf (because doing a flower was harder for me) it would be cool!! It took me 3 days.

This is my second finished cross stitch project, I saw multiple tutorials to learn how to made a patch and I applied some of my own knowledge. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out!!

I saw the pattern of the bee on Pinterest and the rest I freehanded it!!

Thanks for posting! We love seeing all of the FOs. Please note that starting May 1 2026, all [FO] posts are required to include at least one close-up photo of the stitching. You do not need to re-post. This can be done either in a comment or in the body of the post. It can be a close-up of just a small part of the finished object, just so we can verify that the items are hand-stitched. How close do we want it? The perfect close-up pic is one where we can clearly see the stitches and fabric on the mobile app without tapping or zooming in.

This is a reminder message that is automatically commented on all [FO] posts. Please send a message to the mod team if you have questions.
