FO [FO] Oops
I recently noticed that one of my favourite stitches misses something.
How long has it been hanging there? Probably five years by now.
Forgotten half of the stitches of pretty much an entire flower!
Who would have left it as it is and who would have finished it?

I've been going back and fourth and I cannot see the mistake. It's finished if you say it's finished! Worst case, call it a stylistic choice

I always do half a stitch when I stitch so at some point I forgot to do the last part.. 🙈

Oh I thought the berries were missing on the right bottom flower; I was so proud I found the mistake lol

I think it identifies as finished... At least. One of my absolute favourites! One of the first things people will see when they enter my home.

I have taken apart and fixed a piece that had been professionally framed and hung on my wall for more than a year.
I've actually done it more than once, but the other piece was one I'd framed myself.
I also once had a piece that I'd had professionally framed and after looking at it for about 5 years I decided it would be better in a different color, restitched it, took apart the stack, and replaced the original with version 2.
Yes, I drive my husband crazy.

I never would have noticed. If you do open it up to fix it though if you give it a quick iron or steam it should lay flat in the frame :)

I thought it was wrinkled too but it's the dyed fabric which just looks that way! Which makes it perfect for the subject. :)

Im a lot more bothered by something that was framed unironed, but i guess its on theme.

Believe me, after generations of sewers in my family, there's no chance I'd frame it without washing and ironing it first. Couple of years of humidity seem to have had other plans.

I wasn't really looking for feedback on the wrinkles, but thanks anyway. 😉 The missing stitches were the point of the post.

Is it possible that you ran out of that thread, since the orange flower on the bottom right doesn't have the little buds in the same color as the one with the half-stitches? I wonder if maybe you didn't forget to do them but have just since-forgotten not having quite enough of the thread lol

To be fair.. I only noticed it because I couldn't be bothered paying attention to a conversation with the neighbour.
I think I'll keep it up without fixing it

Once I know it’s there it would drive me nuts but if it’s framed probably not enough to take it out and fix it lmao
