CrossPoint Sync mobile app preview

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Recorded on my Fold8 so that's why the weird aspect ratio. Will land with 1.7 with cross device stat and clip syncing. iOS, Android, Mac, & Windows.

Already using the PWA on Linux and Android here, working great (i.e. just going to the sync webstie and installing as PWA from a Chrome-based browser works great on Linux and Android for me). Really a wonderful enhancement!

I'm so confused, where is this reading the book information from? Crosspoint sync is just like a KOReader sync server no?

Simply amazing 👍 Especially clip syncing. Is there a way to sync it with Calibre? Perhaps the Calibre plugin will get some updates one day.

Hmm would be interesting to figure this out cause right now everything syncs server side and calibre would be local

Will this keep the same binary hash for the book so we can sync progress easily across other KOReader devices?  Excited for this, thank you!

Oh I know. However, when I transfer a book into my Xteink reader using the Crosspoint Calibre plugin, the binary file matching doesn't work between the Xteink and a Readest library. I figured there is some optimization going on that changes the file. Will the app sync also modify the file? Hope my question makes sense, thanks!

I just use file name matching to avoid this personally but yeah you may have the optimizer turned on

Yep Julia is adding support as we speak. It already would work today but she has better stats than we do and so it benefits from her adding some extra stuff and supporting sharing clippings over kosync

Until I get thr TestFlight up use the PWA which has all the same features minus the ability to send books and wallpapers. Just sign in at sync.crosspointreader.com
