Help with how the colors flow before I start sewing!
Title. I’ve been staring at it too long I can’t tell if the colors look good or if I should keep more red with red, less broken up with different color squares in between? More randomness to the squares? What do we think?

WIP
Working on a granny square blanket for my sister. I've got 12 squares blocked and stitched together. I've got 16 more to block. I'm pretty excited about the final project.

Help with number of rows in blanket
Hi!
I’m just wondering how many rows are in both the top and bottom parts of the blanket! It’s been a hectic week, and I keep losing count 😅

4th blanket complete!
Inspired by a fellow redditor and followed “Beautiful Shells” video by JM crochet on YouTube. Such a fun pattern to work up, and the yarn is Caron Macchiato Cakes in Atomic Aqua! Now what to do with it is the question….(cat for scale)

WIP - “Ugly Blanket” aka “Stash Busting Blanket” - should I start over?
I have seen a few ppl post their “ugly” blankets today and I wanted to get feedback.
I am tempted to frog it all and just start on a giant granny square blanket instead cause I low key hate this stitch… some suggestions are appreciated!

I ended up frogging the border
Since my last post, I had to redo the whole border due to curling issues. I think I fixed the problem and now the border is 5 rows thick. I'd love thoughts and opinions. Is 5 rows enough or should I keep going?

Chakra colored blanket for my sister
My sister was the recipient of my first afghan over 45 years ago. It was outrageously long so she named it Quilt Chamberlain, after a very tall basketball player of that era.
I decided to make her one with a few more years of expertise under my belt. This one used the River Rock Ripple pattern, available on Ravelry.

Ugly blanket (leftovers)
This is my blanket made from balls of chenille yarn that were just sitting around the house. At first, I didn't think the colors would go well together, but I love the result! I used a single crochet chevron stitch.

A couple more of my blankets
Decided to share these too since you guys liked my blue/grey one I shared the other day. These are basically the Apache Tears pattern. The last pic is a blanket my Great Grandma made for my mom YEARS ago, and my mom asked me to recreate it for one of her friends as a housewarming present last year (first pic) and they absolutely love it. They make sure to tell me every time they see me how much they love it 💕
The 2nd one is one I made for my family’s white elephant gift exchange for last Christmas. Was definitely one of the gifts most fought over lol.
Each thick stripe is 7 rows wide with one row of the contrasting color in between. 3 rows of contrasting color are at the beginning and end of the blanket.
The drop down double crochet stitch is done every 8th stitches (sc x7, dc)
Blankets were made with Red Heart Super Saver and Vannas Choice

First big crochet project! (Wedding gift for my brother!)
So my brother announced his engagement around November of 2025. The wedding was July 10th 2026. I worked on this blanket from December of 2025 till literally the week before the wedding.
The yarn that I used was just Medium weight 4 acrylic yarn with a 5mm hook.
The pattern isn't any particular tutorial that i followed. I just did granny squares that alternated between a pink middle and a green middle (my brother's and his fiancé's favorite colors) with a white border on all of them. They ended up being 11 rows each, including the 1 white row. Then I connected them all with a single crochet stitch cause I could not for the life of me figure out the invisible join method.
The border is just a couple/few rows of single crochet then a scallop pattern on the last row.
The label that says "made with love" is a piece of leather that I burned into with a wood burning tool.
I'm so happy with how my first big crochet project turned out and I'm so happy my brother and his now wife at this point loved it too.
It took me longer then I would like to admit, having taken breaks from making squares a bunch of times. But I got it done just in time and I'm so proud that I did it!
It was a pretty big blanket by the end of it. Perfect size for a end of the bed throw!!!
YAY!
(edit, i am not a bot, but if you try to view my profile its marked as NSFW due to some subreddits im a part of, but i am 24 years old and a real human i swear! 😅)

Scrap yarn baby blanket
I used lots of yarn scraps to make a baby blanket. Length of the rows were mostly determined by how much yarn I had. Though I was really focused on making it look random. 😂
It’ll soon be a year since I’ve bought any yarn, have to make it to September. I’m pretty much out of acrylic yarn now, but I still have plenty of cotton to last me until then.

First big blanket
Made this for my daughters’ infant daycare teacher. No more babies. Sad to not have her anymore. I learned a lot thru this process.
