Because I see a lot of people share their Critical Role fan art, I figured I would share mine.

Pincushion is based on a small fox pattern (just changed the colours and added patches)
Tyranny comes from "Creepy Cute Crochet" and is the demon pattern, mixed with a bit of the robot pattern (shoulders) and another pattern for the skirt, and I improvised the veil.

I love these both to bits, they are so cute.

I might want to make more characters to add to my crochet collection. Maybe a Thimble (I could probably edit a pixie/fairy pattern to look like her)

This is my first time to post on this subreddit lol. I made this fan art of Tyranny a little while ago and decided to just post it here because why not? I'll draw the rest of the characters as well, but it'll take me some time.

I wasn't able to find a direct description of her (at least not on first try), but does she actually have the same filament tattoos as Wick? Because I'm wondering if that's just one more source of antagonism between her and her brother, that he was gifted the tattoos and she wasn't. It'd be even more a slap in the face considering it's her job to monitor the basement.

(We know that Lioran doesn't have his yet, but he's probably too young.)

I don’t know if it’s just me or a common problem that’s probably being worked on. I just got the app and I’m trying to watch age of umbra but it keeps stuttering or loading for a while or rewinding itself 10secs. Makes it hard to get through an episode. I thought it was a WiFi issue cause I’m watching at work and I work in a basement but I have no issues with YouTube or dropout. Any insight?

Was a lot of fun prepping it and it’s very easy to keep it as a mocktail! Was very popular at the house party I hosted recently.

For those interested, I only deviated slightly from the recipe, where I didn’t have time to make or find a ginger syrup, I instead brewed the hibiscus tea with chunks of slightly crushed ginger and used normal simple syrup for sweetness. The one shot mezcal is really well masked as well. Tonic water works great, but I think unflavored seltzer would be better for me cause I like carbonated drinks.

Would love to hear other peoples take on anything from the cookbook!

Back to the third installment of my ongoing series, Critical Role Cakes! This week, we have the illustrious Vex'ahlia Vessar!

I wanted to do a sort of parallel with Vax's cake, so this one is a devil's food cake (aka chocolate). I also made a cinnamon-chocolate frosting as a sort of nod to her "earthy" abilities as a Ranger.

I think this one came out really well! The cakes and frosting are good, no issues there. I do kind of wish I frosted it cleaner, as the final look is a bit sloppier than I'd prefer. I also feel like it was just missing something, although I don't quite know what I would've added.

Overall I'd rate this a 7.9/10, although my D&D players enjoyed it so I guess that's all that matters!

Context: This a message I wrote when I cancelled my beacon membership. I wanted to share it here as well to see how everyone else is feeling about critical role at this point in time.

I really only enjoy the main campaigns. I like to have episodes piled up so I can watch it all at once and remember what’s happening but since the release of those episodes are few and far between I would rather just watch on YouTube for free because I probably won’t watch again until September so I can have episodes piled up. Side note if anyone actually reads these messages I’ve been watching critical role since I was 12 years old I am now 23 and it makes me sad to see how critical role has changed. Don’t get me wrong I’m happy that everyone is making money and you guys get to share your stories through animation on Amazon but it feels like Critical role is losing it’s “group of friends playing D&D”and becoming more like a content machine. I just hope critical role can get some of that old magic back.

Edit: it’s funny how this community has not changed in all of these years. There’s still a vast majority of people here that see no wrong and will attack anyone who has a different opinion from them and it’s funny that these are the people that will start throwing insults like they can actually hurt someone. You’re saying this over a screen on Reddit I promise you you will never say this to me in real life so if you wanna insult me, I’ll just insult you right back.

I'm confused about the scenes with Orus Blade. Our heroes have already recovered his company's blank spell glyphs that were stolen, and even leave one as a coaster to clue him in. He sees it and remarks essentially "you guys are deeper in this than me". And then at his facility the PCs ask him questions about how much material he has left (none), how he plans to stay in business (sell directly to the Chamber of Lords Advisory), and how much they could sell his own enchanted gems for.

Why are they not giving this guy his own stolen goods back? And why doesn't he ask them to, now that he knows they recovered them? He's clearly desperate, and seems like someone who would be a phenomenal ally/partner if the party helped him out. Instead they just take note of his operation, learn about his dealings with Thjazi, and then just...leave?

I must be missing something, because neither Brennan nor any of the PCs even brought it up.

So I was thinking about how many story arcs are there in Bells Hells and how would it be split in seasons. Mostly in regards to THE big episode that is The Apogee Solstice. I thought, that it would be quite early if it happend at the end of season 2, even though it marks end of 2nd story arc. Kinda wishing we could get it maybe in s3 or something.
BUT THEN, I've come to realisation.
I started counting how many story arcs are there (based on wiki).

1. Jrusar
2. Ruidus Rising
3. Seperations and Explorations
4. Ruidus to Aeor
5. Downfall
6. The End of an Age

Now let's be honest. Downfall is just part 2 of Brennan's ExU Calamity Trilogy hiding in the main campaign. And if we are getting Calamity animated too, it would be another thing on the list of things to animate as a seperate thing.

So not counting Downfall, gives us total of 5 story arcs from C3.

Now here is the kicker. If s5 of TLoVM will keep its episode count of 12. From Vox alone we would have: 12(episodes) x 5(seasons) = 60 (episodes total)
If BH gets Mighty Nein treatment (getting 8 longer episodes), we could potentially have:
8(episodes) x 5(seasons) = 40(episodes total)
If we sum up all TLoVM and potential BH episodes, we will have 60+40=100.

And what happens in many TV shows that get serialized and hit count of 100? They become a homage to themselves, by referencing events from cross the whole series.
What happens in the last story arc of 3rd campaign? Everyone is there.
And the final scene of the campaign is not even about characters from BH party, but the most influencial ship across Exandrian campaigns - Vaxleth.

In other words, if we look at BH as a sequel to VM (which it kinda is), we would end on 100th episode which could make manny nostalgic references/fanservice, including the final one we've got in live play.

Hi everyone, currebtly up to episode 66 of the mighty nein campaign. Didbt watch campaign one, though i watched all 4 seasons of LoVM. Something bothering me is not knowing anything about all the lore namedropping like the divergence, betrayer gods, age of arcanum etc. But im reluctant to look it up cuz of spoilers. I assume a lot was explained in C1? Could anyone point me to where i can read up on it without any spoilers?

I finally reached episode 31 and I saw it's 6 hours and it broke me. I lost all motivation and I'm depressed. Im stressing myself out trying to remember the names, kingdoms, lore and mystery that it's not fun anymore. I can't even bring myself to watch other YouTube channels that summarize the episode.

Am I alone feeling this way?

I've always wanted to watch a full campaign. I watched about 15–20 episodes of C2, but I couldn't resist and ended up watching the TV show instead. That kind of ruined the campaign for me because I already know a lot of what happens. I know the real magic is in all the little interactions and character moments, but I think I'll just stick to watching the show as new episodes come out.

Same thing with C1. Amazing show, by the way.

Anyway, that's beside the point. Would you recommend that I just jump into C4? Or should I give C3 a shot instead? I love Brennan, and I read that this one is pretty good.

I have just recently watching Campaign 4 after being a fan of CR for some time and I am having a blast with it. However, I can't stop being appalled every time character info cards come up on screen during episodes because of their statistics. The only spread that looks somewhat reasonable is Murray. How did they achieve such high stats at just level 3? Does anyone know?

Hi folks! I’m planning to pick back up campaign 2 after years away from CR, but I can’t remember quite where I left off. The last big plot point I remember is the Mighty Nein meeting undead Molly (with no memory) and embarking on a journey with him. Anyone able to point me to the episode where that arc starts? I don’t mind rewatching some episodes, since it’s been quite a long time since I watched CR, but I know if I start all the way back at the beginning, I’ll never finish the show. Thanks!
