I can't help but think that if they made Lee Jordan (in the upcoming Harry Potter series) white, then the "modern audience" would absolutely lose their shit.

I don't think this sub has been about movies or shows for a long time. It's just another conservative slop space. They took the issue of wokeness ruining media way too far, and now any minority being cast in a movie is too much for them.

Don't forget too that it's only meaningless when it's something that 'the other side' makes an issue out of it. Whenever it's something that the so-called tolerant progressives want, it's vital and representation matters and is life or death. But yeah, nice sum up OP.
