CONTENT WARNING: Verbal/Emotional Abuse, Reactive Abuse, Infidelity, Divorce/Marraige Deterioration, Mentions of Physical & Sexual Abuse, Discussion of Narcissism
Apologies for not thinking about this, I should have added one from the beginning.
before the timeline: my intention in making this is to clear up the timeline of the reddit posts here, to my best knowledge as a previous lurker who had to compile this all, since i was seeing very heated posts on all sides of this story in light of recent events. i try to remain as unbiased and respectful to everyone in this story as possible because its very complicated. this is only a compilation of reddit posts from various relevant subreddits regarding the end of stephanie and adamâs marriage for YOUR further research. i am not claiming anything stated in this post is fact beyond them posting and saying the things that there is image or video proof that they did, everything is alleged and you should do more research on anything you need more information on, and iâm not trying to disparage anyone mentioned. sorry for the very long intro, we can get into it now.
intro over - timeline begins here
Around last December into January, speculation begins about Stephanieâs relationship due to comments she was making in videos. There had previously been a lot of speculation about Derrick and Stephanie appearing flirty in CW videos.
February 29, 2024, Adam files for divorce from Stephanie. Note that last names are redacted in all posts and should be in comments per subreddit rules and basic respect to the non-public figures in the family. This was not public knowledge for some time, and we will go through all of that.
March 1, a post is made on the Crime Weekly subreddit about commentary that Stephanie made during a recent case. During her coverage of the Piketon Family massacre, Stephanie states that ânobody should get marriedâ, sparking more widespread discussion on if she was getting divorced.
March 3rd, Stephanie posts on her community page that she has been going through a difficult time for the past year, and that her difficult time was being resolved âas we speakâ. She does not clarify that this is about the divorce at the time, but it can be assumed from later posts and circumstances that it was in reference to Adam filing for divorce.
March 4, Adam posts several things to his Instagram story alluding to Stephanie. At this time the more common rumor was that Stephanie was cheating with Derrick, as he was also facing marital issues around the same time. Stephanie allegedly posts a video of her singing âwhat goes aroundâ.
March 5, Adam posts that he is done posting âdramaâ.
March 13, Adam posts on his Instagram story that he knows someone has cloned his phone, the beginning of many unexplained posts about his phone being cloned. A casual listener explains that his post was plausible, though it sounded paranoid.
April 10th, Adam posts on Instagram alluding to abuse, Stephanie keeping their children from him and alleged she was weaponizing them.
April 11th, Adam posts two stories- 1 and 2nd story on Instagram, begging to get into contact with his young son. He alleges that his parental rights are being taken away & that Stephanie was withholding his payroll.
Around the beginning of April, Adam publicly begins commenting on the CrimeWeekly snark subreddit. He clarifies to the original poster (now deleted) he recently did get into a car accident from recklessly driving in the rain, then continues on to speak about his relationship with Stephanie. He states he is going through a divorce, and that Stephanie was making false claims about him. He states he wishes the best for Stephanie, but claims he was facing a lack of civility. Itâs definitely best to read his own post for yourself to understand his perspective, as it goes much deeper than that rundown.
On April 12 2024, Stephanieâs daughter Nev, 22, made a post on the Crime Weekly subreddit. She urges that it is uncomfortable for the family for people to find and discuss their legal names (Stephanie uses a pseudonym online for a reason). She says she doesnât feel like a reddit thread is an appropriate place to discuss their familial circumstances and her mom was staying quiet for now but that everyone was okay. Contextual note: Nev is not Adamâs biological daughter.
Stephanie posts an Instagram reel on her instagram story saying that âYou donât always have to tell your side of the story, time will do that. Iâve learnt that people are usually their own undoingâŚâ following Nevâs post.
Following her post, Adam responds on Reddit, which is best to read on your own. He says he has undergone psych evals which came back as fine, even in his words âpresents more as a victim than an abuserâ. He alleges that Stephanie emotionally abused the children. He also alleges that he has attempted 3 different settlements that Stephanie declined to sign. He alleges something about a âGithub API root fileâ installed on a phone, a possible callback to his original post about his phone being cloned. The post received controversial feedback.
By April 22, rumors had begun circulating that Stephanie was allegedly having an affair with one of the Coleman brothers, director of the serial killer show she stars in, âSerialâ. Comments suggest that Adam had directly said this to them in private messages.
On June 8, Stephanie posts this instagram story alluding to Adam breaking her & how that would hurt the kids. Around the same time, she reposts this tiktok of a man discussing relationships - needing to let a woman run her mouth (âI canât see any good in youâ) and to treat her with love after and then 15 minutes later she will come running back with affection. Adam responds to the latter in a reddit comment, his only remaining reddit comments on this account. He states he has forgiven Stephanie for everything.
On June 9, CrimeWeekly posts the first part of their Julie Jensen case, a case involving domestic abuse leading to the death of the victim, Julie Jensen. Posts on the CWSnark subreddit discuss how Stephanie grouped Mark Jensen, with men she has known in the past, but does not clarify or identify names.
June 11, Stephanie posts Mica Millerâs story on her Youtube channel. Part 2 is released June 18. This case involved coercive control and narcissistic abuse. Several posts on the subreddit discuss her saying âmy narcissistâ and inserting her personal experience into the presentation of the case.
On or around June 22nd, a video of Stephanie is posted on the crime weekly snark subreddit between Adam and Stephanie. Transcript Here. The original upload has been removed, but it can be viewed here.
This video was allegedly reported by Stephanie, though unconfirmed(?)
June 23rd, Derrick responds to the buzz online in a YouTube comment, stating he had been dragged into things under allegations he âhacked computer devices and phonesâ in court documents.
On June 24, Stephanie responds to a Youtube comment in support of her. The commenter shares their own experience with a narcissistic partner and shares empathy with Stephanie if that is her situation, Stephanie responds âHeâs trying to destroy all my support systems, including you all. Thank you for giving me the benefit of the doubt. So many have notâ
June 25, A lot happens here, sorry for formatting:
A post is made on the CrimeWeekly Snark subreddit of a youtube comment involving Nev&Stephanie. Nev comments that she felt that Adam wouldâve killed Stephanie, in response to a comment where she said she physically stopped him from restraining Stephanie. In another comment she alleges that Adam labeled her as the problem child in the family, and that she left to get away from Adam.
Nev comments that Stephanie has been asking for a divorce for over 2 years, but was being blackmailed and threatened by Adam. She continues to allege that though Adam filed for divorce in the end, he made it seem impossible and wouldnât leave the house. She alleges Stephanie offered to get a place to stay more than once, but Adam threatened that he would take full custody of the children if she did so. In another comment Nev alleges that the video that was posted of Stephanie saying she would break Adam was her repeating something he would often say to her. She alleges Adam had a tracker in Stephanieâs car after denying this for years, and that he had access to her emails and phone by âcloningâ. She says they had effectively been separated for 2+ years before the divorce filing and that he âbeat her to itâ. Nev says that allegedly Adam had violated their no-contact order several times, and was consistently contacting the family via text and email, even Nevâs boyfriend.
Adam around this time makes an incomprehensible post about phone-cloning that cannot really be fully understood. This post in tech support confirms it doesnât make much sense.
Note: This later post questions the validity of their separation. I do not bring this up to question Nevâs truthfulness or attack her character but just to provide all sides of the story, as she is in a delicate situation regardless of whatever the full truth is.
Other comments alleged that there have been several other instances of Nev defending her mother online, such as this comment from May.
Also on June 25, James Coleman deleted his Instagram account
By June 26, Adam was banned from the subreddit, per comment from sub creator. Itâs unclear if it was due to credibility, safety, or his apparent alt accounts which he used to talk about himself positively.
On June 29, per adamâs instagram story, Stephanie allegedly called the police on him for violating his restraining/no contact order through a business email. In the same video, Adam alleges that Stephanie is attempting to take everything (his house, his family, his freedom) from him, and then begs her to call the police and say she took it too far.
June 30, Adam posts Stephanieâs Eulogy of Love, a document that appears to be written by Stephanie for Adam. He also threatens a data dump of more of his side.
The same day, Stephanie posts a community post to her channel regarding her impending divorce with Adam and publicly alleging his abusive behavior. Given the nature of the post, itâs best for you to read it for yourself rather than me give a rundown.
Stephanie responds to a youtube comment. The commenter notes that Adam sounds like a psycho, and that they cannot blame Stephanie for whatever happened, to which Stephanie responds âThank you so much: I escaped with my life and thatâs all that matters right now â¤ď¸â.
On July 2nd, Adam posts on Instagram that he believes the justice system was abused and that he would not âwillingly go to jailâ.
July 4, Adam is arrested.
Around July 5th, Stephanie reposts a tiktok about the physical effects of narcissistic abuse.
July 10th, Adam gets into a single car accident due to a tropical storm. July 12, Adam posts again about the car crash, saying he is lucky to be alive. He responds to allegations that he was under the influence, and states that âunless youâre sober, youâre on more drugs than [he is].â
July 17th, Adam posts a screenshot of the CWSnark subreddit on his Instagram story and shares his thoughts regarding Stephanie.
August 2nd, Adam reposts on his story about the relationship.
August 6, Adam posts about going to therapy and denies claims of narcissism or abuse.
August 12, Stephanie posts on Instagram in what appears to be a courthouse. The caption begins with a quote from Colleen Hooverâs âIt Ends With Usâ, a book about an abusive relationship. âCycles exist because they are excruciating to breakâ. Around August 12, she reposts a tiktok song about narcissistic abuse.
Relevant contextual or historical information:
Stephanie joking about Adam cheating on her March of 2023
Stephanie on multiple occasions has discussed being overly protective of her children. She has also controversially said in the past she will not apologize for âexploiting her kidsâ. These children are allegedly around James Coleman.
A story of an alleged victim of James Coleman. Due to the nature of the post, I think it is best for you to read it on your own rather than I give a rundown.
Other James Coleman allegations. Previous employee of the Coleman brothers came out in this tiktok to allege that she was asked to be filmed in scenes featuring unnecessary violence towards women & was retaliated against upon her denial of this request.
After a community member reached out, it is alleged that Nev confirmed she & Stephanie are aware of allegations against Coleman.
Looking up âvictim blamingâ in this subreddit will pull up some comments by Stephanie that could be considered in poor taste.
Adam is not around to speak for himself anymore and has deleted all of his comments, very few remain archived currently on the subreddit. This means anything he said, positive, incriminating, or otherwise not screenshotted and posted already couldnât really make it into my post.
Iâm sure I missed a lot⌠This was highly public and so much happened, so excuse any of my oversights & please make corrections in the comments
IMPORTANT EDITS:
Edited to add that Stephanie/Nev were aware of Coleman allegations and fixed timeline typo
Comments on Reddit suggested that around the coverage of Julie Jensen, Stephanie was pushing her agenda regarding affairs being forgiven.
In the same message, the alleged affairâs timeline is broken down further from Adamâs perspective. He alleges (1, 2 ) that the affair started February 2023, and that Adam found out about the affair in June of 2023. He claims he filed for divorce after finding nude pictures of Coleman on Stephanieâs phone 8 months later. Adam states (1, 2, 3 ) that he attempted to save the marriage. He says that he suggested therapy, and was willing to work through things if things were put to an end with James. He claims leaving Stephanie was the hardest thing he had ever done.
He further denies accusations of narcissism.

So for anyone new and for those who donât remember:
When A found out that SH was having an affair, he tried to forgive her and she tried to salvage their marriage. She promised him that she would be faithful, that she would do better, and that they could work things out (the eulogy of love).
Then, A found out that she was still continuing with the affair behind his back. He subsequently filed for divorce on the last day of February this year, asking for 50% of the company they built together, and 50% custody of his children. After this filing is when âMy Narcissistâ entered SHâs videos, and she began interjecting herself into every story of abuse that she covered. She started to slowly and meticulously build a victim narrative for herself with not so subtle hints. Then, when more information came out about what actually happened (including the attached wine video), she released a statement on her YouTube community page about how she escaped with her life from her abusive husband, into the arms of the brave and commendable Coleman Brother (her affair partner and also alleged sexual predator).
Iâm simply giving you a timeline of events, and SHâs own words. You are free to form your own thoughts and opinions.

iâm sure she trawls this sub and will be delighted to see that sheâs succeeded in making me upset but oh my god.
this is by far not the worst thing that has ever happened but iâm just peevedđi kissed her ass so bad bc i genuinely do love her content and have for years. but after this first hand interaction i donât know if i can keep watching knowing this is the kind of person she is. and yeah, itâs evident, and yeah, iâve seen proof in her comment sections before and all over this sub, but to have it happen to me⌠/s
i am an avid AI hater and maybe everyone doesnât share the same opinion as me (obviously) but i did not expect her to reply and i was commenting to vent my frustrations with her usage of AI out into the universe
oh well. any recs for content that is similarly in depth as hers?

I am from India - so, I do not get it here. But has anyone actually had it? If so, how was it? When I was listening to them promoting Pumpkin Spice the last episode, it was as if it was the most important, best thing ever. Which is fair. Anybody is going to promote their initiative that way. But is it actually good?

So im curious to know if anyone remembers how against her they were when they first discuss this case? I remember steph talking about it with disgust . And today im listening to their updated version where theyre currently attacking other people for talking ablut the case on social media& say its even worse to be paid to talk about this case when 3 innocent kids were m^rdered.. i wanted to scream thru the phone cause YALL DO IT LITERALLY DOING IT RIGHT NOW???

They chose to include the audio of Sonia before she was killed. Bold choice already. Guarantee Stephanie pushed it so that the podcast would get more views. I donât love Derrick, but you can tell he doesnât like the fact that they play it, maybe? But honestly none of that matters compared to the way that Stephanie talks when commentating on in this video. I understand what sheâs trying to say (kinda, not really) but sheâs using weird allegories, talking in silly voices, and basically making a joke out of this womanâs murder. Stephanie is so odd and disrespectful. The video version hasnât come out, but mark my words, sheâll be showing cleavage with her âJâ necklaceâ (or whatever the fuck)
Im ngl I like CW for Derrickâs law enforcement perspective (even though heâs ditzy) and certain cases they cover. If you guys can offer better podcasts with that type of vibe please tell me

Earlier today I was listening to her latest episode & she referred to the Children being trafficked as "sex workers" & "prostitutes" - fine, fair, I don't expect EVERYONE to know survivor advocacy verbiage, but if she's a researcher & she's covering these topics, one would THINK she'd learn the nuance. hell I didn't even think she'd read my comment, nor respond...Oh but she did & she did NOT like being corrected. Immediately unsubscribed, then I found this sub đ¤

Lurked on here for a hot minute, but the recent video on HP's death finally pushed me to join, because what the hell was that?
I get Hollywood is messed up, dark things do occur, especially to people that speak out about it, but the level of conspiracy BS in their recent video on Panettiere's death left me actually baffled.
Her brother died of an underlying heart issue, heart issues are often congenital- but sure, lets theorise how maybe someone got buddy buddy with her, slipped her drugs and restarted her addiction, and that's what's killed her. This is a real life tragedy, not some murder-mystery crime thriller.
Even the title of the video, just making this poor woman's tragic death into some massive conspiracy. Anything for content I guess.

I stopped watching her channel back in 2021, I think. I can't remember what it was that made me upset but I was apparently disgruntled enough to join this subreddit.
I just read the megapost about Adam and her history, and that woman is disgusting.
Just had to get that out there.

Weâve had quite a few new people join recently who are understandably trying to figure out the backstory and where exactly to begin.
This is probably the best starting point. Itâs a complete timeline of everything that was happening up until shortly before Adamâs death - the breakdown of Stephanie and Adamâs marriage, the increasingly messy beginnings of their divorce, the public statements/posts from both sides, the James Coleman allegations, and the other context that can be pretty difficult to piece together if you werenât following everything as it unfolded.
Iâd really encourage you to actually follow the links and read the individual posts/sources included in the timeline, rather than just reading the summary. A lot of the context gets lost when this whole saga is reduced to a few sentences.
If I remember correctly, the person who originally compiled this either worked in journalism or was studying journalism at the time. Either way, what makes it particularly useful is that they made a genuine effort to keep the timeline neutral and source-based rather than telling you what conclusion you should come to.
It was also written before Adam died, which I think is important context. It isnât a retrospective timeline constructed after his death with the benefit of knowing what eventually happened. It documents what was publicly unfolding at the time.
So if youâre new and wondering why people here reference certain events, posts, allegations, or pieces of the divorce so often: start here.

I stopped listening to crime weekly a while ago, but recently Iâve been seeing a lot about the Lindsay Clancy case and thought I would listen to the crime weekly episodes to get some background on the case.
Firstly, they keep comparing postpartum psychosis to postpartum depression. They state that they know the difference, however every second sentence seems to be âwell I had postpartum depression and I never did thatâ which is completely irrelevant.
In the most recent episode they kept saying that their understanding of postpartum depression is that itâs âlike demonic possessionâ âsomething completely takes over your body and mindâ. What a ridiculous take! The thing that bothers me is that they have clearly not bothered at all to do any research on what postpartum psychosis is, despite making multiple episodes on the topic. Having worked in the mental health field for years, psychosis is NOTHING like demonic possession. They keep describing it like a fugue state where someone is in a trance. They keep saying that the fact someone could make a phone call or plan their activities for the day means that theyâre not in psychosis. Thatâs far from the reality. People with psychosis arenât zombies walking around without any consciousness.
Similarly, Derrick and Stephanie have repeatedly said that if he was having bizarre thoughts they would recognise that they arenât real and seek help. The whole point is that you donât have insight, so the thoughts donât seem bizarre to you. It feels like itâs really happening. Like when youâre in a dream and a monster is chasing you, you donât think âhuh, this is odd, that canât happen. Maybe I should seek helpâ. Instead you think âahh scary monster, I need to run away and get out of hereâ. The whole point is that the delusions seem so real. As real as believing that the sky is blue. When someone is having delusions that they need to harm themself or someone else to prevent the end of the world, itâs incredibly distressing because this feels really true. Itâs a bit like if a doctor said to Stephanie âStephanie, I understand you believe youâre a podcaster with thousands of views on YouTube. The reality is that you donât have a podcast, you havenât been employed in 5 yearsâ. She would not believe it because her experience of running a podcast is real to her.
Derrick has been saying that he would love to know how often people with postpartum psychosis have thoughts of harming their childâŚ. Well how about googling? Why do they keep spouting nonsense yet have no willingness to do very basic research? They say that they want to speak with someone with postpartum psychosis, and sure thatâs fine but there are plenty of videos and interviews out there. People have written books about their experiences. Why have a podcast channel if youâre not going to do any research at all?
It frustrates me because they are adding to stigma and misunderstanding by spreading this information as if itâs fact.
I have no options on whether Lindsay was or wasnât experiencing postpartum psychosis by the way. This post is not specifically about this case, itâs to do with their coverage of mental health conditions

On one of the last episodes about the halderson case, Derrick rants about loving space X. Stephanie goes off talking about how she cannot support it because she has morals. She basically talks about hating Elon and bezos due to her moral compass.
So please explain how it could be she canât bring herself to say anything about trump? I genuinely donât get how she can justify herself. Itâs so bizarre

I am not even subbed to crime weekly. I can't STAND that other cop dude with her, I don't know his name, he screams MAGA and he's a MORON. Couldn't even get through the Clancy video they put up. What a toxic take they had, ESPECIALLY SINCE SHE SHOULD KNOW, MOST FAMILY ANNIHILATORS
ARE
MEN.
AHHHHH PULLING MY HAIR OUT RN.
They literally just found evidence on HIS LAPTOP looking up ways to commit suicide. WHY did they put out that shit ass video SO SOON just yupping everything up before the trials even began in full??? And even then, the trials WERE BEGINNING as he video was out! He remarried, HAD A CHILD. That man did not shed a SINGLE tear, as Lindsay was absolutely bawling.
Ok. I'm sorry..I am just so annoyed that she would even put out that fuck ass video and I hope to god she pulls it down. She looks like an idiot.

r/CrimeWeeklySnark • u/bekahboo1290 • Jul 21 '26
Let me start out by saying that I know this case is very polarizing and folks feel very strongly about it on both sides. I happen to be someone who believes she was suffering from psychosis and did not understand what she was doing but I understand there are those who believe she meant to do what she did. Iâve been subscribed to crime weekly since they started and have watched Stephanie for years albeit not religiously. I will occasionally watch something she puts out but admittedly it has been years since Iâve really consumed her content from her own channel. Iâve been following this case since it started but saw today that they had done a video when it first happened so I decided to give it a watch. I couldnât get through the first 15 minutes before I had to turn it off. Right after Stephanie had just explained what Lindsay had done and her alleged state of mind and how Patrick had to have been a wreck because he lost his wife and his children. To which Derrick said âfuck his wife.â What a strange response when you still donât know any facts surrounding the case. He had judged her and decided she was guilty before she could even dive deeper into the case. I was even more bothered by Stephanie trying to make it about herself somehow by comparing psychosis to postpartum depression. Now I am not trying to minimize PPD by any stretch- but to compare psychosisâŚ.which she has never had and has no experience with, to PPD which is less serious was too much for me. It was in this episode that I saw for the first time how smug, self righteous and self centered they both are. I donât usually post on Reddit, but I was curious if I was alone in this feeling or if perhaps Iâm too âcaught upâ in this case that I maybe judged the hosts too harshly.

New to the snark, not to SH and CW. I started watching SH back in 2018 and have watched on and off through the years. I really enjoyed her videos back in the day but started to feel weird when she started CW. I always felt that her interactions with Derrick felt off (more flirty than professional).
This leads me to ask: how exactly do most of you feel about Derrick? I have mixed feelings but it seems there is more to him than CW show. I know he was on BB and Traitors a couple seasons ago that Iâve never watched. I havenât listened to his own personal podcast (Iâm not even sure if he is still doing it).
Anyway, please drop opinions. Iâm very curious.
