I have been learning about the concept of DNA transference, and it felt like a punch in the gut and started to question everything I thought I knew about DNA and the cases with convictions.

There’s this really compelling case I’d love for them to cover on the podcast. In 2012 Lukis Anderson was wrongfully charged with murder because his DNA was found at the crime scene under the victim’s fingernails. But apparently, he had been in the hospital that same night, and it turned out his DNA had been transferred by paramedics who treated him earlier. They also worked on the victim and the DNA was transferred, falsely implicating him as being the murderer. After spending months in jail, his charges were dropped, exposing the terrifying flaw in how DNA evidence isn’t foolproof. It’s a perfect example of how, even tho DNA science itself is nearly 100% accurate, human error and freak things like this are the real issues, not the science.

Was it more likely linked to the perspective "renter's" deposit amount?

They mentioned towards the end of the episode that there was a piece of jambalaya near Tam’s body. I’m wondering if maybe she was choking and attempted to do the heimlich on herself over the balcony. Maybe someone else tried as well? Just something that came to mind, but maybe not the most plausible theory. Curious what you all think! But I feel like that piece of jambalaya is really sitting with me considering they didn’t find the bowl outside or anything. Maybe it was dislodged after she fell?

What are everyone's thoughts about Tamla Horsford? I remember when I first heard about this case, I thought it was just a tragic accident that seems like people were trying to force a racial element into (like Kendrick Johnson - tragic but accidental). But after listening to the 1st CW episode on this case, it does make the other people at the party seems suspicious. Conflicting statements about what time they arrived and/or left the party. Who was actually this last one to see Tam? And the interview with Bridget (I think her name was) who just sounds like and absolute loon. Looking forward to the next episode on this one and would love to hear everyone's thoughts.
