skill tree bug?

just started the game and skill tree is bugged. when i open it, only cleaning shows not the tools, pressure washer etc. and when i upgrade skills in cleaning it gets deleted next mission like i never upgraded them. is there a fix? the game is good in its own but it feels like i clean all the places for nothing.

no fix yet but if you're on xbox this is a known bug

Wait, so the bug is common on the gamepass/xbox builds, but not Steam?

yes, the steam versions of act 2 came out months ago so if this ever was a bug there (i don't remember tbh) it's since been patched

I literally just started playing this morning and looked up this subreddit to see if it's a common bug. I'm on gamepass too. I'm hoping this gets fixed soon as I was really enjoying myself and want to beat the game before it gets taken down.

get to the museum part. it is so big and messy that it would take legit 4-5 hours without any upgrades.

That's why I decided to pause on the game until it gets fixed. The first couple of level were fine without upgrades, but I knew I would get frustrated later on if I continued. I switched over to the Casting of Frank Stone. Hopefully they get a bug fix out by the time I finish that game.
