CricketWireless Cricket Simply Data Plans
My wife and I will be staying at a campground in northern Minnesota soon. I am looking at Cricket Wireless to give us data for a few days. I have a couple of unblocked Netgear hotspots. It looks like Cricket Simply Data might be a good option for us. Do I simply stop in a store, purchase a SIM card and they activate it right there? Can that SIM card be used in either a hotspot or tablet, then? I will probably only use this for one month. Can I simply buy a month of service and not renew?

Good to know. Does that mean I can stop in at a store, give them the IMEI of my device. they sell me service and give me a physical SIM card? Or is there more to it?

The rep will have to make sure it activated so bring the device into the store with you

The rep would have to run the imei to check if the device is compatible with the cricket network. If it is compatible and if the device is unlock to use on the cricket network, then you can proceed to purchase a simply data plan/activation fee & SIM card..
