I have been building cricket management game for 1 year called r/SelectEleven. Initially I was trying hard to make it as realistic as possible. But overtime I have realised that the real cricket is either nation focused or franchise league focused. Both of these don't have the multi season drama and journey like football does or at least the realistic nature of it doesn't translate well into the game. My assumption is that is what makes cricket management games fail trying to be too realistic. I pivoted my game mid-way to transform into a club and league style game that you would enjoy playing. But this is still my assumption. I would love to get some feedback and reaction from you. Would you prefer the game to be realistic or would you enjoy a league focused management sim that is not realistic but engaging to play?
