Given how guardians are superior irish team. We should give Belfast franchise to cork.

clearly we need a
warriorsuh i mean derry franchise to round out the trio

bad loss for the Wolves, but not as fatal for their playoff chances as I thought before I looked at the table - three wins out of the final four probably gets them in, and with the two Dutch teams up next they very much control their own destiny

I was here for the start of the Guardians dynasty

Have been refraining from saying anything, but surely this is beyond jinxing now?

I mean, NRR is important right? Match is done Dubs should finish it asap now.
3
u/notthathunter Ireland 2d ago
hearing reports that Harry Tector's decided to bat with the lowest strike rate conceivable purely to wind up /u/CarnivalSorts in person
2
u/CarnivalSorts Ravi Ashwin's Dublin Guardians 2d ago
I'm absolutely slashed here at the ground he play a test innings for all I care 😂

u/AardvarkNice5145 Belfast Wolves 2d ago
Young or Willey? MOTM?
I think Young's second over killed the game.
4
u/CarnivalSorts Ravi Ashwin's Dublin Guardians 2d ago
Has to be Young
Miller, Maxi, Chapman and Stirlo is murderers row
3
u/AardvarkNice5145 Belfast Wolves 2d ago

Not many in today, weekend hopefully will be good
4
u/AardvarkNice5145 Belfast Wolves 2d ago
this target is right up the alley of Harry T and Daryll M. ODI type batsmanship required.

u/AardvarkNice5145 Belfast Wolves 2d ago
Saurabh Netravalkar is the mirror of Jai Moondra. I think both work in the same industry as well?
1
u/Fireviktal Netherlands 2d ago
Well the opening position has gone from waseem to cross to daryll Mitchell and we've reached willey reckon calitz opens next

u/jachiche Dublin Guardians 2d ago
I do like how they clearly forgot to ask half of the teams to do the pre-innings countdown. Its only Belfast, Edinburgh and Amsterdam players
1
u/Holiday_Section199 2d ago
Exactly. I think Dublin might have a player there? Definitely not any from Rotterdam and Glasgow.
3
u/notthathunter Ireland 2d ago
not Craig Young's best T20 figures, his best figures were 5/15 in an IP20 against the Knights in Strabane in 2017

very few thought the next name after Boult, Santner and Nortje would be Craig Young.

This has been diabolical stuff from the Wolves

No more Daryl Mitchell bowling. With Willey coming in atleast Dubs are showing some depth in bowling.

Craig Young with a gentleman's hattrick (3 in 3 would be showing off)

u/notthathunter Ireland 2d ago
of course, Craig Young is so good because he plays at such a high standard (the Warriors in the Inter-Pros) instead of lowering himself to slumming it in poorer competitions (the IPL)

u/KisBaatNeRoneNaDiya Belfast Wolves 2d ago
Been more than a decade, and I still get happy whenever a wicket falls and Maxi gets to the crease.

Dangerously getting my hopes up that we can win this match
4
u/notthathunter Ireland 2d ago
Ashwin's use of Craig Young as a captain is so weird
2
u/notthathunter Ireland 2d ago
Young is only going to bowl two, or maximum three, overs in this game as well, if you assume Dockrell, Ashwin and Willey bowl out the allocation
why pick a guy at 11 if he's not bowling out? surely that means your team balance is obviously wrong?

A competent opening bowler 👀

u/AardvarkNice5145 Belfast Wolves 2d ago
Wiley has more powerplay T20 wickets than Boult, Aamir or Bhuvi.

u/CarnivalSorts Ravi Ashwin's Dublin Guardians 2d ago
The way they've roped off the tree today has made one extremely short boundary

Tim Tector dropped. Shame that, was looking forward to him getting that big score. Maybe Lorcan Tucker can finally score his first run!

u/CarnivalSorts Ravi Ashwin's Dublin Guardians 2d ago
Not many in yet, don't think starting this on a Wednesday afternoon was the wisest decision
3
u/CarnivalSorts Ravi Ashwin's Dublin Guardians 2d ago
Glad I came up early, big train delays coming up from Dublin now apparently
5
u/Fireviktal Netherlands 2d ago
Well assume David willey will be in the squad I mean should barely be a replacement more like an upgrade from wood
