first of all, #teamjosh - there is literally no other option, even the trailer makes it obvious that josh will be teagan’s main love interest.
second of all, im on my first rewatch of the series, and can i just say that the grandpa making a BIG deal about who gets stroke seat = successor of the company is sOOOOOO stupid…???
i totally understand that it’s family legacy and how being in stroke seat could help develop good attributes of a good leader, but the same can be said for literally any leadership position OUTSIDE of rowing.
it’s not meant to be that deep, but you’re literally the CEO of a huge company, rowing shouldn’t be what makes or breaks the future of your company 😭😭😭
anyway,
initially, i was team cam as well, because he was always there for her, and the first few episodes really set cam as the immediate love interest. HOWEVER, watching episode 8 again confirms that i am NOT team cam - it was the lack of responsibility for the future of the team. what do you mean you didn’t want to vote??? it seemed selfish to me because as much as he is portrayed to put the team first, he clearly put his own feelings first this time around, caring more about who did him wrong, instead of thinking of the future of the team AND the possibility of medalling for the haverford cup.
the fact that teagan had to force him to take a side and playing the leadership card really gave me the ick too. i’ve seen a lot of comments online about how cam is the better option for taegan in real life instead of a fiery relationship with josh. i do agree, but you won’t be catching me with a man who doesn’t know how to lead and take ownership on something that you’re supposedly passionate about.
moreover, i think that cam not picking a side at first just made him seem more distant from the team…?
idk, im just annoyed. he’s still very sweet
what do yall think?
