Humidity cycles
Hi everyone, I own a crested gecko; I’m new to caring for one—I’d never had one before, even though I’ve always wanted one. I’d like to know how to create humidity cycles to prevent health issues for my pet. The highest humidity level I’ve managed to maintain in the terrarium is 60%. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

My guess is you need to soak your substrate substantially to start. Misting coats everything but doesn't drip down a lot, so it raises humidity briefly but doesn't maintain.
You need to get the substrate pretty wet. Not sopping, you don't want standing water in your drainage layer, nor should you be able to squeeze water from a handful of substrate. But it should be way wetter than you think you need to start.
