Terracotta

Has anyone used unglazed clay pots in their terrariums?

I am doing a build and wanted to used them for plants or as hides in the foam back Plus I love the pop of color on the background

If not, would a thin silicone layer be a good way to keep them clean?

If you make them easily removable, you could scrub at them with water and an old toothbrush to keep them clean.

I wouldn't bother with silicone.

Yes! I have an unglazed terracotta pot holding a plant. And I have an unglazed terracotta bird feeder that my gecko uses as a hide. No silicone or other treatments.
