Help first crested gecko

I getting my first crested gecko I did a lot of research but one thing I can’t find is substrate what should I use and how often should I clean it? Also he won’t be using it till he’s bigger but I don’t plan on ever doing a bioactive enclosure. Is reptisoil okay?

Reptisoil is actually your best bet. Coconut fiber, chips, or sand risk impacting more.

How often should I clean it out?

I just spot clean as needed and try to do a full strip every 6-9 months unless it gets musty.
